I'm impressed! This really looks like hand sewn x stitch! Adorable!

Hi Carolyn ,this takes me back to school we had to make a fringed mat like this embroidered with cross stitch and his is the design i used and i still have it many many years later........soozie
Love it, Carolyn! Well done to both of you.
Hugs, Lidia
It looks very pretty!
The drawback with using cross stitch designs is when you mirror it or rotate it 90 degrees the stitch direction changes. From my earliest embroidery days (started CS when I was 6 yrs old) I was told the upper stitch of a cross stitch should always go in the same direction. Instead of rotating a design 90 degrees you can mirror it twice (horizontal as well as vertical) and then it is okay, but mirroring once is a problem - so perfectionist as I am for my own use I always digitise a CS design as a pair.
To illustrate I digitised some cherries and did only the top of the CS in a few so you can see the stitch direction - and what happens when rotating and mirroring.
It's turned out beautifully Carolyn, well done. Love Chris
This turned out beautiful. Reminds me of all the hand cross stitch of the past.
Really nice table cloth. Love the cherries. Now you are ready for a picnic.
Carolyn, I do believe that your project is what these cherries were made for.
Love the cherries, Carolyn! You did a great job and the fringe edge sets it off nicely!
