These are so very pretty. Anybody would be proud to display and or use then. Also these would make a beautiful addition to a wedding gift box. Chocolate Easter eggs are never safe in my home. Kudos to you.
Very nice! I have a Pfaff that has that same hoop; however, when I look at your design I don't see why it couldn't be a 4-way split...both vertically and horizontally. If precise positioning is used with each rehooping someone with a smaller hoop could easily do this. I love the uniqueness of the honeysuckle -- not often a flower that is used. Plus your outer border enhances the delicate design. Well done!!!
Thank you. Yes, it could be done in a 5x7 hoop if split in 4 parts. I am always a bit apprehensive about the outline, it would require precise placement to get it right but with a bit of care it is doable.
Will you sale me the digitizing design if it's under 5-7", all the doilys that have the stitching around the out side are to big for my hoop . Please hugs joann
Lovely doily and digitizing. Love the shape also. I have hoop envy also. I have a Janome 11000 so my biggest is 8 x 8 except for the MA (SPLIT HOOP) Thanks for sharing
I looked it up and saw the split hooop is 8x11 which is 3" short of what you'd need for this doily. Thanks for your comment.
This is quite beautiful, Martine and the leaves are perfect!! Love the shape, too.......
Very nice shape and doily....simple and sweet. What brand sewing machine do you have...hope you dont mind asking....love your designs. Thanks and Hugs.
This is very unique, lovely design, shape and candy dish.
I really love this and the shape is so different
great work Martine..
Wow, that's beautiful, Martine, I love it!
What kind of fabric have you used for this doily?
Hugs, Lidia
Thank you. It's a piece from my mother's stash (she died in 2001) and I think it was intended to be used for one or two pillow slips, large enough for a lot of doilies. It is a (poly?)cotton and the diagonal stripes are printed white on white - the unprinted parts are a bit see-through in comparison.
Beautiful Martine. The honeysuckle is so very pretty/Lillian
love it what else is left to say except something just isn;t right here can't quite figure it out???? just maybe i should resew it and find out lol ,lol lol
Love it hugs
p.s. see any cross stitch in your future (just had to ask right) hugs as always Carolyn
Well, I did some cherries last week (some pictures in the digitising section) but might have another go at some borders soon.
It is lovely, Martine...what is the finished size and did you do it in one hooping or ?
Thank you. It fitted my largest (200x360mm) hoop, exact size is 355x195mm or 13.98"x7.69".
I can understand that, the reason I bought the Ruby was hoop size. The large hoop requires a lot of space around the machine and I have had the occasional bump and mishap :) but it is ideal for larger projects.
A very pretty doily Martine & a perfect spot to place the eggs too. So pretty to look @ you have to have a closer look & while there well the eggs are just waiting to be eaten & after all you don't want them to go stale so......... lol ~hugs~
Beautiful doily, Martine! By the way my brother gave me his new PC with windows 8 on it so I am getting 6D pro to put on it. Sure am looking forward to using it! I love my Mac but TRUEmbroidery is not good.
There will be a new 7D in September so when you buy 6D Premium make sure you'll get the upgrade free - they usually do that when the new one is out within 6 months after buying the old one.
Thanks for telling me this, Martine! I knew there would be a new version coming out soon because this 6 was offered at such a low price! I will remember to,check to,see if I can get the uograde free!
That's an unusual shape for a doily. I like how the edge curves around the flowers. Well done!
Thank you. I made more curvy ones in the past and this one looks looks like the one Lidia made. I like to follow the lines of the embroidery.
awesome job - great the way it's not an actual oval but has the flowers jutting out a bit!
This turned out to be awesome. Love it. .
This is simply beautiful - love love love it!!! I love the satin stitching - so perfect!!! Hugs to you Martine!! Laura*
Thanks Laura. This time I used wss instead of tear away (I'm always a bit thrifty with that stuff) and it really makes life easier.
I think it is just right and would proudly display it in my home. I just love doilies and your digitizing is awesome.
