700 zipper pulls finished! Wow, what a large project. I did not realize how many I had made until this morning. Most of these zip pulls are destined for the children's cancer clinic, but a few will go to my grandson's classmates and I will hold a few back to put up for sale on and Etsy site I hope to have up and running by the end of the month. I also made 100 flowers (without the grommets and rings) for my niece (the teacher) so her students could use them as math counters - so that makes 800! My poor aching hands :-)

The dragons, paws and skates are designs from thebeanstitch.com. They have some beautiful and interesting designs there for very reasonable prices. They also have many freebies if you join their facebook page. The rest of the designs I digitized from free clipart or drew myself.

Thanks for looking - huggs.

Wowzer! This is most impressive. How many weeks did it take to do all this?

wider57 by wider57 15 May 2015

It took me about 3 months, working here and there at them. I usually stitched them up on weekends and then took them to hubby's chemo treatments and cut them out there as it gave me something to do.

They are all brilliant, you've done such an amazing effort. Those children will really appreciate all the things you have made. Love Chris

What fabric did you use Vida?

wider57 by wider57 15 May 2015

Thanks Chris. I used vinyl on them. It was very easy to sew - I just floated the vinyl over a light cut-away stabilizer. Then used sharp scissors when cutting and they went fairly quickly.
