Very beautiful bag love the combinations of the fabric .Thanks for sharing
Thanks a lot for the link Toogie....there are lots of nice tutorials there!
You have done a great job on this pouch....i like the font you have used :)
Very nice, she will love it. Maybe a can cozy for uncle.
Uncle's is done! Thank you, though, I need to jot all these men ideas down, for future use.
Great job, Toogie and I love the Toogie tag on it!!
Oh so very nice.... I love tis bag and the fabric colours. My mum was asking me to make a bag to put all her medical cards/records and medicine...,this is a good project. How big is this and are there any compartments inside..? Thanks..Hugs...Shyam.
No compartments but you can make it the size you need. I will send you a pm, if I don't forget, or if I do send me a reminder.
What a thoughtful gift! Your uncle may like a similar bag for his toiletries!
Hello toogie,
SPLENDID! I love the colors.
Have a nice day,hugs/Céline
crafters are always generous, enjoy giving gifts. your bag turned out so nice, really well done. for men, I like making shoe bags for them, for when they travel, or a tool rollbag, like the one used for pen holders or knitting needle holders.
Wonderful job, Toogie! What about a checkbook cover for your Uncle?
Toogie this is so nice. I love the fabric you chose. You do such beautiful bags, large or small. As for uncle well not knowing anything about him,I do not have a clue as to what to do for him/Lillian
What a beautiful bag, Toogie, love it! Very well made too.
Hugs, Lidia
Hi Toogie. WOW.....AWESOME...... I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. Regards Lorraine McNeill South Australia
Wow, the little pocket has become enchanting, really nice material combination and colours, the stroke are very nice, have succeeded around very much – professional. For men I find it also always difficult, pockets find them mostly stupid, but with key followers or one can make something for her hobby to them mostly a joy...
Thank you very much for your comments. I agree that men are always harder to make for.
Nice one, Toogie...and I love your "Toogie" tag!
Thanks to a certain Cutie that we both know!-lol-It is coming in handy and I had to put it on hers for sure!
Very nice ! She is sure to love her surprise. How aout a mug rug for uncle?
Considering that very seriouly IF he gets anything at all now. The baby is sick again and all I did day before is hold her and rock. She was Miss Crankypants or Miss Whiney.
great job. did you follow a pattern?
Not really, and I wish I would write down what size I cut my pieces. I can give you a link to the basic way to sew one together (not ITH) on your sewing machine. The only difference besides the size probably, is the contrast piece and I boxed the corners. If you're not sure about boxing the corners, I could probably explain how. Go to inbox and pm me.
What a wonderful gift for your Aunt. She will love it. Perhaps Uncle would like one as well. It would look great in manly colours. Enjoy their visit. Hugs.
I plan on it, thanks. I don't have any aunts/uncles left on my mothers side of the family. These are my dads brother and his wife. My dads sister is the one who named me Toogie, she is still living. She is close to 90, retired nurse, still drives out of state (she lives in Texas).
She will love it. Love the colour match of the fabric.
lol about the fabric-Yellow band was a sheet I have been cutting on (remember Avery's thanksgiving bibs?) and the other print...remember the lady that is in her 90's, use to quilt, and family gave me the fabrics? It is from her stash. Cost me a 32 cent zipper from Wawak and less than a dollars worth of baby dry, I would imagine. Thanks for looking.
Love your little bag Toogie. Like where you have placed her name as well. Very nice. Lyn
Thanks Lyn, I originally wanted the yellow with the name for the bottom but didn't cut it big enough. I am pleased with it as it is and think she will be too.
Just gorgeous and a great gift idea. What about a similar toiletries bag for Uncle? Love Chris
Thanks Chris, I am considering that. I had told my husband that maybe I should do him a masculine one for his meds, as he has been going off and on to ER/Dr. and has to bring all meds with him. Not sure how much manly looking fabric I have on hand. I guess a block font would do if I do his name, Rodney.
Do you have screening? Or clear vinyl with a band of fabric in a solid color? You do so much for so many. It's a blessing to know you even from a distance.
Oh you made me blush, even at my age-lol-that's so sweet for you to say. I don't have either of these and looks like I may not be able to do any sewing tomorrow. My daughter just ran by and even though she is off on Friday, she is getting the kids rooms ready in the new house. I will have Nora again as she is still sick. She was better one day and now its back.
