Book yourself on to a course at Lords Sewing? JB Sewing in Newport, s Wales used to have more embroidery based courses but on looking its more sewing based. I have no idea about the last link as it came up on Google.
PS just thinking didn't you get a new machine a while ago? Have you asked the dealer what courses are available or does he know of courses available.
We are going on holiday, and thought we would like to include our hobby..... Yes I bought my machine from lords
Thank you
John Deere usually offers a Caribbean cruise to learn digitizing. Don't know when the next one is.
Hi - not sure if there's an area you're looking to narrow it down to - here's the Quilt Craft Show website for shows in CA, AZ, WA and OR. It's been a few years but they did a decent show with some machine embroidery present. I live in a small tourist town and we have an annual quilt show, the Mountain Heirloom Quilt Show, October is pretty nice and in the California mountains/wine country - although there's the added bit of getting here from the closest large airport and there is less machine embroidery, it's a nice show you can do in a day but not as big as the large city fairgrounds ones. Our local shop participated in the Row by Row free shop hop US experience - starts in June end in Sept, "Create a quilt using at least 8 different 2015 rows from 8 different 2015 participating RxR shops and be the first to bring it into a participating shop to win a stack of 25 fat quarters (6-1/4 yards of fabric)" you can download the list of participating US shops on their web by state - most post a photo of the block early June on their Facebook pages - more quilting than Machine Embroidery - but easy to plan a fun driving trip around - that's what's available in my state unless you try to hit a shop's Anita Goodesign trunk show or some such localized event. Sonisews does machine embroidery events at big shows and small venues - you can also check her out to see if she's doing a larger show - she tends to stay in the middle America states, don't see her out on the west coast much.

Thank you for your reply, you are so lucky to have so much going on,I will look through these sites. It's about 20 years since I have been to California so a return would be good..
Well, it's easy to plan other vacation things to do in CA :-) San Mateo County Fairgrounds is just south of San Francisco and they usually host a very large quilt show. But, theirs was Feb (and in a good year it's stormy in Feb, so I wouldn't recommend folks fly in for vacation related things then). When browsing - I found this state map of Quilt Shows - I think some may be pretty small http://quilterstravelcompanion.co... That link is CA - you can get a US or Canada map and then zero in to where you're interested in http://quilterstravelcompanion.co...
Sounds wonderful. I guess it would depend where you are and what direction you want to go! I look forward to hearing your itinerary.
Where do you live so we can maybe give you some suggestions? I know several here in the eastern USA, but am sure you don't want to come that far if you live half way around the world!
We are in the U.K. but want to travel to something special we have lots of quilt shows here but not much machine embroidery .....so that would be our goal to see more to do with machine/embroidery ...Thank you ..
I think the best online resource is the German Bernina blog - they share so much with clear digitizing instructions, great free designs, consistent regular posting. Do they plan anything in Europe? Love to have you come stateside, but our shows on the west coast are also "machine embroidery light" more sewing oriented.
Where would you be planning on going? It does sound like a good girls holiday.
My good girls holiday is Blackpool,U.K.twice a year.there is a lot of us and all look forward to a great crafting week.now we want see more to do with machine embroidery...thank you
