Have got to show this to my husband--he is a do it yourselfer also--always fixing what is broke [when he feels like it or gets around to it] lol. He has done a lot for me also. This is grand. So cost saving!!
He's a keeper. I have a hubby, who I'm thankful for. He has made me things that has worked as well for me and saved lots of money, for my sewing room. Today I learned how to take a dish washer apart and clean. Saved us a lot on house call.
Lucky you to have a handy husband who will do this. I have to push mine against the counter because my hands aren't strong enough. But that works too.
Very professional looking, this should make life easy for you. What a great husband to do this for you. Congrats to you both. Sandra.
I have seen several posted but yours is the best and I think would be the most durable.
Helen
What a great job he has done, Laura. I know that we often feel the need to give them a job to keep them out of trouble :), but now I'm wondering which female will be first to say she has made one herself. I'm pretty sure many of us who (do or) don't have access to such a handyman would have the tools to be able to do this ourselves :)
I truly believe it is easy to make - so anyone should give it a try. Hugs, Laura*
I hope you don't strangle me. I made up a drawing/diagram of your picture and put some measurements on it and sent it to the Kam Snaps Face Book page. Then people began to ask questions and I just posted your picture. Then I realized I should give you credit for your idea and picture but didn't know how. Somebody found you so now I can do it. Kamsnaps.com also put my drawing on their website but not your picture. I just want to thank you both for the idea and picture.
Esther, you are so kind, both with your words and with you consideration. My Hubby is happy to share this - so no worries!! Thank you for giving us credit - that was kind of you!! Hugs, Laura*
I just showed hubby 3 pics and your model won! Yeah! I hope to have it together very soon.
Wait til I tell my Hubby!! His won!! Make sure you show it off to us! Hugs, Laura*
Super man !!!! Isn't that so sweet that he makes such things for you ?
Great invention! I need to get my hubby to make one for me, so when he is not here (or asleep-lol), I can do it myself! Give him a handshake and a pat on the back, for me,well done.
I will Toogie!! Have your hubby make one - you will be happy you did! Hugs, Laura*
Yes he surely is .He should starting selling them hugs
Very nice - and it's nice to know that some men are willing to make crafting easier for us. :)
" Isn't my hubby a gem!!!", well, yes, yes he is!
I once told my son-in-law that he was a gem (and he is!!) and he asked me what that meant!! Thanks, Laura*
Aren't our men irreplaceable!!! This is a terrific idea and much more affordable than store bought!
He used wood scraps to make this one - virtually no cost except his time! You are right - they are irreplaceable!! Hugs, Laura*
Excellent piece of equipment. I need one myself. Thanks for sharing. I hope my hubby can make one also.
Thank you Laura, I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how I'm going to use mine as I don't have the strength in my hand. Hope you DH hasn't put a patent on this one I'm asking my DH to make me one as well.. Marian
Oh, Marian, we pretty much copied it from one we saw online. It is nice having the left part jut out a little to put your left hand on and clamp down with your right hand (or turn around for lefties). It took me no time to do 9 sets of snaps with this gadget! Hugs, Laura*
Oh how cool :) lucky you Laura!!! I love handmade stuff....specially useful things like these!
Very cool!! No doubt about it - he loves you dearly.
That is so clever. Looks so professional. He deserves a big hug.
He did do a great job - oh, and yes, he will get lots of hugs for this!!! Thanks, Laura*
Wow it looks so professional! You are one lucky woman having a husband who can put his hand to anything! Love it, love Chris
Oh, Chris - thank you!! I am lucky to be married to my DH - he is a sweetheart!! Hugs, Laura*
Yes your hubby is a gem. Glad he could do this for you.I would imagine it is better than the expensive one. Is you hubby a tool and die maker or just real handy?/Lillian
Thank you, Lillian - he is just really handy. He can work on cars, fix plumbing, do electrical. He and our sons installed solar panels on our roof ...etc. I know I am blessed!!! Hugs to you, Laura*
this is great, the proper ones are way too expensive. Yours will undoubtedly outlive the purchased variety too.
Love it! Let us know how well it works! So we can be envious!
It works just great - and I like that it comes out of the holder. Thanks Gerry - sorry to make anyone envious!! Hugs, Laura*
OOpppsie, for those who don't recognize it - it is pliers to attach Kam snaps!!
Thank you for telling us what it is. We cannot get those snaps here where I live. Your DH is very talented
