Could you post the name of the site where you got the design? I know I've seen it recently, but I don't remember where it was. Thanks. How long are the little designs?
I'm happy you have a treat for him to repay his hard work. These are very useful critters, too.
Have you used the old fashioned metal snaps much? If so, what do you think of the Kam Snaps in comparison? I had a whole box of the old metal ones, but have just about used them up. I've been looking at the Kam Snaps, but there is a fair investment there. I make adult bibs, shirts, etc., and wonder if they are going to hold up or not.
I LOVE what you have done with your new press! Congratulations, and thank you for posting a picture of that. What a great guy-gift!! This site, and the members, are so incredibly inspiring!! Especially when people come up with ingenious problem solvers like you have! Hats off to both you and your husband!!
I always fumbled about with metal snaps - more often than not - I didn't get the prongs in correctly. I even tried the snap source gadget - same problem. I had a chance to try out someone elses Kam snaps and I was sold right away. I bought my set off of Amazon and it came with a bunch of snaps. (I always use the longer snaps and have not had any problems with them coming off). While the press isn't hard to use - this is way much easier. Thank you for your kind words!! Hugs, Laura*
That's quilt a good looking press that your husband made. I can see where having it would make things a lot easier for you. Nice cord wraps!
Great idea, there is another type of cord wrap at embroidery garden and it's free.
Yes!! I have that one too! These I already had 9 in a hoop in a file and got them stitchout, trimmed and snapped very quickly. I plan to make the Embroidery Garden ones too for our IPhone cables at some point - thanks bunches!!
Very nice - professional!
Can anyone give me a comparison between Kam snaps and Babyville snaps?
I haven't used Babyville snaps so I can't help you there. I do know that Kam comes in short and long prongs. I use the longer ones for my ITH projects. Good luck!
Great thank you gift for sure...and yet another reason to dust off that bag I have had sitting around for almost two years with my Kam Snaps and pliers in it...one day...
I purposely tried to find something useful to make for him that would allow me to use my KamSnaps. And, yes, Kim, one of these days you are going to have try those snaps. My first try was putting snaps on a Duvet cover that didn't have them. I was hooked!! Thanks bunches!
Perfect for anyone, especially a men's gift........
Fabulous idea and your husband did a marvellous job on that snap plier machine. Love Chris
Your hubby did a great job in turning your snap pliers into a press. What a nice way of showing your appreciation by making the cord wraps for him! Nice job both of you!!!
Here is the Kam snap pliers transformed.
wow! it is thought very well up. I have such nippers. I will ask the husband to make it) Thanks)
Wonderful prize for your DH's hard work. Love how the yellow snap and thread stand out against the navy vinyl.
These are so great and perfect for him, hope he likes them.
Oh Leaha, he does like them - but, he deserves dozens more!! Hugs, Laura*
Lucky hubby. Mine would love these. What a great gift since he made the holder for you. These look great.
I made these with marine vinyl. Truly an easy project. Thanks bunches! Laura*
