I bought a kitchen cushion floor mat at Fred Meyer's. They had different designs at the time. I cut mine in half and put half under my sewing machine and the other under my embroidery machine. I have 2 sergers, so bought another one and put half under each of them. They work great.
They are around $13 each.
What is the fabric made of? Your machine is beautiful, I didn't realize Brother made machines in black! I love your idea. My white Brother sits on a quilted table runner my daughter made, but I hadn't ever thought about putting some rubberized padding under it. I can hear it stitching from downstairs. Thanks for the great idea!
This is cloth on top and rubber underneath, like a light weight door mat. You could use that also.
Mighty fine idea i can only ever see these in white to look like snow will half to watch close this years thanks for the idea hugs carolyn
No I don't have a problem with thread what little strands that fall on it I use masking tape to pick it off.
just wondering.. what about the threads, aren't they then hard to remove, don't they "stick" on it ?
Great idea. My EM stands on a rubber mat which is also very successful
Sew clever of you, resourcefulness is a necessity at time. Like the idea.
A great idea, I keep my machine on a rubberised mat which reduces the sound
