Many thanks ladies, my evenings are spent watching tv but I just can not sit there so I crochet. The fillet in the round is actually pretty easy to do and much easier than normal designed doilies. This one had a rose in the place of the heart, I just adapted it. Again thanks for looking!!
Wow, love your doily, it looks great! The photo frame looks great too.
Hugs, Lidia
Love your crocheted doily. It is just spectacular1 Your granddaughter is very lucky!
It's gorgeous, Dolly. You did a fine job finishing it up with your own touch! Nice photo frame as well.
My grandmother had crocheted doilies all over her house, and I loved them. I became the keeper of some that my dad had saved after she is past. Some were left "in-progress", and still not yet finished. I don't have any of her patterns, as it was so very long ago when she made them. I just keep those in a container in my sewing room, and think of her each time I look at them.
Beautiful doily. I haven't made a doily in a long time. I learned to crochet in school doing a doily. I have a picture frame just like yours, with pictures of all my grandchildren. Joyce
Very nice doily. I love the heart design. I think crocheted doilies are such a work of art and labor of love. I always feel so bad when I see one at a thrift store just being cast aside. People have no idea how long it takes to create one of these beauties. I think yours is lovely. I have never seen a pattern quite like this. Hugs, Susan
Beautiful work! Can I be adopted too? hehe They are so lucky to get such beautiful work form you from the heart. They will cherish it in the years to come. Suzanne
When I use to crochet, this is what I made, crochet doilies. Yours came out nicely, even with your own edge design.
