Did you hear me swear from your place? Have been hand sewing for so long (Smocked Balls) that I have a hole on my finger - can't wear a thimble. Thought I would do some knitting instead and put the tip of the knitting needle into the hole on my finger. Did You hear me swear?

My Late DH once told our friends that he used to learn new words from me. Not really true as I don't swear. Well not often!

Think most people have done this at one time or another when they do a lot of hand sewing

It isn't that bad just when a needle eye goes into the sore bit.

It isn't sore until another needle goes in. Have just worn it away.

Ouch! glad you now have the Elastroplast to protect your poor finger. Have not heard of that product will have to check it out and must be similar to the thimblets hoplessnz recommended. Hope you heal fast and then never forget to put something on that spot to protect yourself during long hours of hand sewing. I love the look of hand smocked ball ornaments! Pam

Elastroplast is like a Band Aid but just all sticky and you cut it into whichever length you need.

Try thimblets that quilters use when hand sewing . Just a patch that sticks onto your finger ,works for me

Now have a piece of Elastroplast over to protect it.
