Hi there Cuties! Tried my very first wallet today :)

After doing purses I had thought a wallet would be very quick n easy....it was too actually other than ofcourse the embroidery! But when it came to the stage of putting together. ...it was supposed to have a bias binding around the 4 edges! Oh my...such a nightmare!!! Actually my bad....coz the binding I was trying to put was just too narrow. ...anyway finally finished it the way I felt was best at that time in my very frustrated mood...lol!
Wallet pattern itself is really good....it has 4 card slots ...1 zipperd pocket for all the tiny stuff and 2 more full width slip in pockets for the money or pictures or receipts :) a little flap closure on which I added a magnetic button!
I would make it again with variations I guess....specially will try n find a better way to finish the edges ( or maybe get a wider bias tape...hahaha)
Thanks for looking!
P.s: followed the basic pattern from Debbie Shore's tutorial on youtube :)

Wow...this is beautiful. The embroidery is fantastic...love it. It is really time consuming but worth the effort. Hugs...Shyam.

Thank you so much Shyam :)
The wallet itself can be done pretty quickly if there is no or little embroidery involved like applique maybe!
The construction is not as lengthy as a purse.....try the youtube tutorial!

Hi, Like the wallet! I especially like your embroidery. I checked out at the grocery store today, and the cashier asked about my wallet, that matched my purse. I told her I made them and my medicine bag. She asked about me, making her a set, just like them. I told her the wallet I made, I don't want to make again, too time consuming for the little I would get. She said she would buy my whole set today and I could dump all my stuff in a grocery bag!-lol...I came home with my set!

Oh wow that is great Toogie :) it shows how good you made them that she went crazy after it lol!
Thank you so much for appreciating. ...
embroidery was lining up perfectly till I did that one part of the border where a little gap was left....well better luck for me next time! ;)

You lined up better than I am sure I could have. It looks like it's on the backside, so that's better .

I love colors you used light blue and brown with this sort of lace. Difficult but a nice result. Thank you for sharing. Amitiés de France.

Unfortunately in the pics colours dont appear exactly same. ...the wallet is dark grey denim with grey embroidery!

Nice Job. I bind my wallets like a quilt (the better homes and garden way). I have also recently purchased an ITH wallet and it is much easier than those I make by hand!

I have the ITH checkbook design from FivestarFonts and I love it, That could be adapted to make a wallet, but it wouldn't all be done in the hoop if you wanted to add more features like credit card slots, extra pockets etc.
