Very nice work, and I love the design. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful job Kay! I love the tea towel.. My Grandmother use to do a lot of hemstitching but that's one of the things she did not teach me. She use to embroider beautiful Dresser Scarfs and do hem stitching and then add beautiful crocheted lace. I often wonder what she would say about all the things machines do now. All she ever had was her treadle Singer but her hands and fingers were forever busy making something./Lillian
Yes, I have old things handed down that had some beautiful hand work also. Funny that grandmother did not sew but her Mother and sisters did. My Grandmother was into ancestry, Bible study, landscaping and flower gardens. none of which put food on the table. my Grandfather always keep a cook/ house keeper to housework duties. Those days are gone for us do it all women of today!!!!
Such a great saying and it's turned out beautifully. Well done, love Chris

Just Google linen hemstitch towels - a ton of stuff comes up!
Thanks, I will. I mostly buy towels that I can see and touch and don't have to pay postage. Where do you buy?
Very cute...she will love it!
She has already picked it up and she loved it. I use wash- a- way, tear-a- way backing and told her to let me know how it washed. Sometimes linen is one big mess and sometimes it looks great. I still wanted to buy some of those towels Kay
