very nice ! looks great with the designs you selected !
Oh I love this.. very striking....I must try this. You have got real patience with the embroidery...stitching looks perfect. What material did you use for this. ?..Thanks. Hugs... Shyam.
Thank you so much Shyam :) and I am glad you liked it!
I have used a cotton silk kind of fabric ....the same I had used for my tinker box posted here some time back :)
I was happy that the embroidery landed as I expected it to!
Do give it a try...the boxie pouch itself is very easy n quick!
I read through the tutorial which Toogie had put a link for as well as watched afew youtube videos....finally I decided my own size!
It is a fantastic bag. I definitely want one now. Love the decorative stitching. and the zipper looks perfect. I like the tabs at both ends.
Thank you so much :) I am happy you want one too!
This is the first ever invisible zip I have done in my life :)
(Using a regular zipper foot)
My bag was all done and when I turned it the right side then I remembered the tabs so they were put in the very end!
I think it is lovely. I looked very carefully at each picture and I don't see your mistake unless it is the decorative stitching along the zipper is just the tinsiest bit off on one end. Is that what you are fretting about? It looks good to me.
No dear its not that tiny...hahaha! If you look at the pouch Toogie had made you will see it clearly!
I kind of did the squaring of the box little differently and ended up with this....the zipper only at the top! Where as what I was supposed to do would have had the zipper running from and to the mid of the sides! Shape wise it doesn't matter much ....just the opening is smaller this way :)
Thanks a lot :)
Gotcha, I looked at toogie's and now I see where the zipper was suppose to go. You just interpreted the pattern differently and made it your own, not a mistake, just your own way of doing it. :)
That's a beautiful pouch, so elegant, love it!
Hugs, Lidia
What a lovely pouch you've done & these colors look delightful too. Thanks for sharing it. :~D
This is quite pretty to me, I see nothing wrong with it. Great job.
This is so much prettier than the men ones I made-lol-Your colors are always so complimentary, to the designs. I see you got my message so I came to look. Great job! I have another 'backpack' partially cut out.-Toogie
Thanks a lot Toogie :)
I get inspired to try so many new things from the Cuties here....and the credit for this one goes to you :)
Next time I just have to correct 1 step n get it right!
Toogie, I hope you'll share your finished backpack with us. I've wanted to do a backpack-type bag for the grandkids so I could use your inspiration.
I really do like these. When I get the time I'm going to have a go at it. You have done a great job/Lillian
WOW Beautiful pouch : i love it. Great job with excellent details. Thank you for sharing. Amitiés de France.
I love your boxie pouch. Love the designs and the colours. Hugs Shirley
Very elegant looking. I can see this size used as a toiletry bag while traveling, or a makeup bag, or on your dresser for little treasures. Nice work. Can't wait to see what you make for your DH.
Thank you so much :) maybe I will use it as a travelling pouch for the little stuff!
Yes I am still thinking of what to do for DH ;)
I think we have a make-up bag here. It's lovely.
