I came across a great tip that I thought might interest you...when you sew something inside out that has to then be turned right side out & the hole has to be stitched up.... if when you are sewing the inside out part you stitch off the edge in a square on both ends pic #1 when you flip it rightside out the fold line becomes quite obvious & sew much easier to stitch on the proper line. No more guessing where it should be folded under. I think this is a valuable tip as many things must be stitched like this....blankets stuffed animals quilts runners you name it ..............I hope that you think so too

Great tip, thanks. It will also strengthen the stitching line so it doesn't tear out while you are turning your project. I've sewed for many years and never thought of this simple little step.

Yup, been doing this for years...as another note to inside out and turning...like for in-the-hoop items...when I digitize them, I add those stitches to the design file so when I cut around the "shape"...I cut down and then across and then back up to the other side of the opening...making a tab...when you turn it right side out...the tab is very easy to tuck in and then whip stitch closed...same principle as the stitched "tab"...
