I wanted to let you all know that Christie is in the hospital getting a new knee! She needed one! The surgery is complete and the epidural removed and she feels pain!. Yikes. She will be in the hospital through the week and next week will go to a rehabilitation place for up to 4 weeks! She does have her computer and is posting on facebook. She was going to post last week and must not of had time. Please put her in your prayers. Thank you.

Thanks Chris for letting us know that Christie has had her knee replacement operation. It won't be long and she'll be up and running. My Mum's had 3 knee replacements! Exercise was her best friend and she walks wonderfully now. So as not to confuse you she had one done in Adelaide years ago which didn't last long - the two she has had done here in Newcastle have been fabulous. Please send Christie my love and best wishes - love Chris

I am so glad to hear that. I caught her briefly this morning before therapy. Hopefully she will catch these message soon.

Christine, thank you so much for the info. Yes, I'll think and pray for her.
But I am pretty sure, she'll be alright again after some time. My mother in law 10 years ago got two new knees (of course one after the other)
and she is doing fine until now (her 90th b-day is coming in September)
German hospitals and reha centers have a lot of experience - so hopefully the pain will leave her soon and she can start her reha.
Will write to her on facebook and maybe it would even possible to visit but I am in hurry. It's only 4 weeks until I go to Minneapolis and Milwaukee and I still have so much to prepare for this visit and for those I leave at home Pls look for a pm - Thanks Maria
