OMGosh! This is absolutely adorable! How I wish I had a little one to sew for! Love, love, love it! The fabrics, colors and design are all magnificent!
Thank you. Color is fun. Did you ever think about sewing for children in hospitals?
This is so pretty and colorful, love the colors. Great job
What a cute outfit for sweet Carmen. I love how you used color to make your embroidery striking on this dress. I agree with Toogie.... those tiny details like the gingham lining in the shoes and the way that the embroidery tucks under the band on the purse are just perfect.
Thank you. I love the details in sewing. It allows us to add our own creative touches.
I love how all your different fabrics came together to complete this beautiful set. The design is excellent but I especially like your gingham lining in your shoes, the smallest detail. What have you used for the sole? I used the white Giffy Grip or PJ foot bottoms, on mine so she wouldn't slip, but sure shows dirt as she wears the outside, too.
Thank you, toogie, and thank you for the original post on the Mary Jane's. I used leather on the soles. I had found a maxi leather skirt at a thrift store years ago and I keep using bits and pieces of it for various projects. I love the gingham, too, but those pieces were the last of the scrap......sorry to see it go, but glad I had enough.
Carmen's outfit is marvelous. Sorry about the twists & turns in life but we learn by them don't we. Good to see you and your lovely work back/Lillian
Thank you,Lillian. Yes, twists and turns are part of life and when willingly accepted, a part of growth. I am grateful to be back.
Your little one will look so adorable in your gifts of love. Great job.
Dear Therese, these are beautifully made, wonderfully co-ordinated and so lovingly photographed. Well done, love Chris
It's lovely! I hope the twists and turns stay straightened out for a long time to come.
