These organza flowers are made from designs from Stitch Delight. THe leaves are my own. As I couldn't get green organza, I used habutai which makes them look quite realistic.

Those of you in Australia may recognise that the vase is turned from a Banksia"nut" (by Mike.)

This looks fabulous Sue, I love the vase that Mike made. Banksia pods are very versatile. Saw a lot on our travels whilst away. Love Chris

Sue these are lovely, one day I will be brave enough to have a go at this type of thing, you are soo talented, I just thought I would post a pic here for you to see what a Banksia in bloom looks like before it turns to the pod. people here make some marvellous things and useful items from these pods, as you have here.

once again beautiful.

Thanks for showing this picture. Mike used to use them a lot for turning but they have become very expensive recently.

No need to be brave, by the away. These are very quick and easy. Just take care with the glue gun!

This is beautiful. Are there any wires? Your petals are nicely shaped.

Only wire for the stems - I use hot glue for the flower centres and pinch the whole thing together as it cools. This seems to give a good shape.
