WOW! What an amazing accomplishment! One piece of fabric! Wow.
Is there somewhere that shows the layout and construction of this bag? Or was it something you devised?
Thank you so much :) I am glad you liked it!
You can check out my other bag of same pattern where I have included a pic of how the pieces are placed!
I will try and post the link to the site which has instructions too! :)
O My Goodness - you did this on a solid piece of fabric? WOW! I thought it was impressive before but now I am gobsmacked. Still going thru pages and pages of projects on site - did I miss where you got the pattern? I did see the one you made with 4 inch squares - also impressive - extremely impressive! Gorgeous work - thanks for sharing it.
Thank you so much and I am very happy you liked it! :)
It was the same plain black cotton which I have used for the lining! The designs are free to download at sewforum....I was trying to add a direct link but it isnt working!
Just google search sewforum purple blocks and hopefully you will get there easily! :)
Beautiful job you have done Love the patch work squares. Excellent work/Lillian
This is the most beautiful one of a kind bag. I can tell a lot of time went into making it but it is truly gorgeous.
I too thought this was pieced. This is really nice. I can't imagine how long this took. It is beautiful and I hope you get to use it and show it off.
This is so amazing. Love your color choices. Fatima that must have taken quite some time to finish, Great work
Thanks a lot! :) I am glad you like it!
It did take some time to get the pieces done....lots of colour changes too although I did 2 squares at a time! But all is well that ends well :)
What can I say? I like everything about this bag! Lots of work here.
Dear Fatima, now that is what I call thinking outside the square!!! I've got these designs and the way you've put it together makes it really come alive. Love the colours they really pop! Well done, you'll be the envy of all your friends. Love Chri
Thank you so much Chris :)
I was planning for something simple...I mean lighter designs which would stitch up quickly but ended up with this!
In the beginning I wasnt even sure of the colour theme but then just went ahead :)
Wow! Such a beautiful bag. well done. Hugs Shirley
Very beautiful. I have done the same but not embroided when i learned patchwork : it was the first of a long list but every time i offered them. But yours is super, it is a great job ! Congratulations. Thank you for sharing. Amitiés de France.
Wowzer! This is awesome. I imagine you had to float to do the squares and match up the corners some how? I thought it was pieced from afar. This is quite impressive.
Thank you so much :)
No I didnt float.....I used 1 large piece of fabric n kept rehooping it to embroider 2 squares at a time in my 5×7 hoop!
Beautiful job on this bag...you should be proud!
Wow....this is really beautiful...but I know how much of time you have put in here....so pretty. Hugs..Shyam
I can only imagine the hours it took you just to embroider the pieces. You have a wonderful bag. Use it with pride
That's a beautiful bag, Fatima, you have done a great job!
