cherry hot pads for our trailer.front side both the same as is the back side. I used insul-brite on the middle as well as warm & natural batting. So they can take the heat on the back side

These are very cute! I think I'll make some of these for a little housewarming gift for my godson and his soon-to-be bride. I have some insul-brite and lots of leftover warm & natural! Thanks for sharing your cute cute project.

They are great! Daughter has given me about 5 yrds of Insul brite, guess she's trying to tell me something LOL. I love Cherry designs. I have a flowering cherry tree in my yard but when I saw the acres and acres of Cherry trees blooming in Michigan I really fell in love with them./Lillian

I bought some called Insul-Fleece at a quilt shop down here in Tasmania. You should be able to get it at other quilting shops. Hugs Shirley

Soozie, you can buy Insul-brite from Spotlight. I'm not sure if there is one up in Port Macquarie, but it's available maybe in good fabric shops up your way. Love Chris

Your cherry hot pads look very cheerful! They will certainly brighten up any area that you use them! Did you have any trouble sewing the Insul-brite? I recently made some hot pads/pot holders and after reading on many forums from people experiencing broken needles, skipped stitches, etc. I decided to forego the Insul-brite. Guess that my family will just have hot fingers! Your hot pads look beautiful and I like the way you composed your photograph using actual cherries!

Nancy thank you very much, I had no trouble @ all sewing through the insul-brite. I layered it on the bottom then warm & natural on top then the fabric than the wss so a lot to go through. The bottom layer after removing from the hoop was fabric to match & as it was next to the insul-brite I did slow my speed a bit but it was fine. ~hugs~

Thank you for the great explanation on how you sewed the Insul-brite without any problems. Maybe I will get some Insul-brite and give it a try. I am sure that my family would appreciate it on future hot pads!
