Soooooo cute Toogie.....love both the dresses and the shoes... I love making little girls dresses too... Thanks for showing the patterns. Beautiful fabric choice...the blue is so sweet and the ice cream too. Hugs....Shyam
She picked the orange fabric. She opens my drawers and got it out for 'Nora's dress'. She ended up liking the ice cream side of the dress, but the orange shoes.-lol-I would love to see your little dresses.-Toogie
Just a darling as can be. You are a very good seamstress. This is so cute. Thank you for sharing. I love the little shoes. Would love a pattern like that.
Arisann, look at the top in your INBOX you have a pm. Thank you for your comment and for looking. I have always loved sewing and guess I will until I die, or until I can't feel or see anymore.
Very cute! I really want to try those sweet shoes.
Not hard at all, so don't be intimidated. Be sure to iron on the Pellon 809, to give body, to the lining sole and U shape. I also add it to my strap. I buy it at Hancock Fabrics by the bolt-lol It's regular $4.99 but I ALWAYS have a 40% off coupon or more. It is also 45" wide. Maybe I can add another photo-lol
Also photo of the Giffy Grip I use on the outer sole, read at EDIT at top main post here.
Now I have got to go find a pattern like this---shoes and all for my great-grand daughter. Are the shoes your pattern?? I didn't pay good attention I guess--just at the pattern laid out. Love this! Cute little gal and lucky one also.
What a sweet looking dresses. Happy Stitching Brenda Lea
Oh, Toogie, this is such an adorable outfit! Sweet model, too - poor thing all bit up :-(
These are adorable! I think I have this pattern stashed away from when my niece was little. I see my next project coming!
(and I just have to get up the nerve to try those little shoes. They are too too cute!) Thanks for sharing these with us Toogie.
Nicely done...love the sundress and bloomers...and the shoes, well, can't resist them either...so many bites on that wee one...hard not to scratch...
Very cute little outfits I especially love the shoes. Great job.
More deliciously cute outfits and shoes. Love the cheery fabrics too. What an adorable little model you have. Cranky or not, she is too cute modeling the outfits, especially the orange shoes (I love them too)! Your embroidery and applique, as usual, look terrific. Great job!
Oh Toogie - this little dress outfit is so adorable. I like that it is reversible, and I bet her mom does too! Those shoes are just awesome. What do you put in the soles to make the bottoms more sturdy? Thx. Great job all around.
I am making some for Avery and I'll try to put in Sewing when I finish, but I used starting from the inside-lining fabric with iron on Pellon, two layers of fleece for cushion, and giffy grip for non slip....Thanks
Adorable dress, Toogie! And I love those little shoes....
Hugs, Lidia
Cute, cute, cute, Toogie.......what a great couple of girls sets, gotta love those shoes and I feel for the little darlin' with the skitter bites, they are hard not to itch..........
They are hard not to scratch! Thanks Vicki,I'm tempted to try to make me a pair of shoes for in the house.-lol
Wow!!!Great work...Love it...Cute and just so Stunning
Oh I had that pattern when my girls were little they are in their 40's now so sweet
So pretty!! I used to make this pattern for my daughter too! Lovely and cool for summer.
She wore the orange side to church last night, she does love the orange shoes! Thanks
Stunning work, so sweet, I do not throw anything out. they all come in one day. I am just making a lap top bag for Hubby with recycled zips .
Hugs Pam
Thanks Pam, sturdy zippers are a good save if you don't mind ripping them out. Let us see his bag when you finish.
Oh Toogie these are darling! I love that it is reversible & the colours are so pretty! I love the shoes/slippers! Poor wee thing has been bitten all over. Not sure if you have Detol over there States side but it takes away the itch right away. It smells but it works great! Ask me how I know. ~hugs~
Thanks Loralye, never heard of Detol but I need to get something for them, when they're here. They ate her and Avery up. I think they got in the Expedition/SUV when they were loading the wheelchair and bit both girls on the way home.
Wonderful job and so sweet. I do have patterns that go back to the 1960's and baby patterns too. I never throw them away as the styes are classic. Kay
I don't throw patterns away either,Kay, as you can see. If I find them in Thrift stores, garage sales, I pick them up. Thanks for looking-Toogie
Oh, Toogie what a sweet Gramma you are - the reversible sundress is so adorable - I love the colors - and of course, the sweet shoes - you are something else!!!! But, you have a sweet model!! Hugs to you are yours!! Laura*
I'm just a Gram, like most on here, nothing special. I am trying to make Avery a pair of these shoes. Her feet are bigger, so I am enlarging the pattern, to try to fit her. Thanks for looking,Laura-Toogie
It's like having a really pretty baby doll to dress again like when we were girls, isn't it. These are precious, Toogie. P.S. I think with that bracelet, finger nail polish is ALSO required!
It's there, the toes are polished and she picked the color! If she were still here I'd send you a shot of them.-Speaking of real live baby dolls. Last week a friend had another baby. Nora and her mom went to see it. They 'helped' her hold it, but when they tried to take it back Nora cried NO! She didn't want to give it up! She said it was 'her' baby.-lol
Toogie , you are just tooooooooooo clever !!!! GREAT job yet again ! :D Oh poor little thing, makes me itchy just seeing her legs. :(
Yes, they do itch and she has one that bothers her more than the others. She really does pretty good for as many as she has. It has rained so much the mosquitos are terrible, and she loves to be outside. Thanks for looking and as almost always, these pieces were in my fabric stash.
Toogie, these are both such cute little outfits. Are the little bells ringing all the time so you can keep track of her? If they are quiet you know to go running to see what she is into. Poor little one, bug bites are the worst when they itch!
Her mom and dad got her this bracelet for her first birthday. It hasn't came off since and she will be two next month. She does gingle so it easy to find her. Thanks for looking
