Thank you for the photo of the hat on the clip board I did wonder when I saw the clipboard before why the clip was left on the board, Now you have answered my question. Great idea who ever came up with the idea.
you did a great job!
I will have to make time and make a hat hoop too! I actually have an old clipboard around here that my gd has been playing with as I figured iit could have some kind of use sooner or later and couldn't bring myself to through it out! Just not sure where she put it now! lol!
Lol :) I am sure you can find it around soon and go ahead make this hoop! Thanks a lot!
Great job in making the holder and embroidering the cap! All of it turned out great.
Well I knew those little knifes were very durable. Maybe you should write the company and tell how they came to the rescue once again.
Yes you are right this little tool did a great job! It had helped me a lot years back for another craft project where I had cut lots of wooden skewers to make a wall clock :)
Thank you so much
I too was inspired by the cutie's husband who made this cap hoop thank you to him and if he can do it so can i i have bought my clipboard and am waiting for some caps i bought ebay then i will cut my board cant wait to see how they turn out...soozie
You have done well with this cap. Love your hoop insert. Hugs Shirley
I really admire your tenacity in doing this with a pocket knife. I think you are the kind of person if they want something ,they make it happen. Well done!!!/Lillian
I think you have inspired a lot of us to check the tool box for a cutting tool. Good job and lots of money saved.
Fabulous..........wish I knew about these when I bought my cap hoop for the bernina a long time ago........great project and result!
Great job. I haven't seem this before. I must have missed the other cuties that had made them. Keep up the good work. I could have used this idea a few years ago, I had to do a couple of caps for my cuz. it was a pain....just used my reg. hoop and like to never got it done. Think goodness it was a very soft hat and was able to just pin it down to my stabilizer.
keep up the good work.
Thank you so much :). ...this was my first time I tried a cap so cant really compare doing it with a regular hoop vs this one....but I can just assume this is worth making!
Oh this is wonderful! Cuties are the best & I was so wanting to give this a try but scared too! You have inspired me to bug hubs lol Well done!~hugs~
Yes sure...go ahead and make one :) I am sure your DH wont mind...it will be pretty easy to cut if you have a proper tool to work with like a saw! You can help by just precisely marking it for him...good luck! Thanks a lot!
Awesome, I am totally impressed. I have wanted to try this but don't have access to a saw but now I might have to give this a try.
Thank you so much :)
Go ahead give it a try....be patient and it will work out! It is very simple to do....good luck!
Now it just occured to me that not only do I not have a saw, I don't have a swiss knife either. And a search through my junk drawer did not yield any suitable substitute, so once again the idea goes on the back burner.
Any cutter should work...the kind which has an extendable blade used for crafts! Yesterday I couldn't find mine so ended up using this...I also had an exacto cutter for an option but I think that would be too delicate! Well you just look around and I am sure you will find something :)
Fantastic -- I am so impressed with the genius of our cuties.
Nice job, Fatima...amazing you were able to cut this out with a Swiss knife, too....very resourceful!
Love your idea can you show more of how does it sew.I see how to cut it but how does it stay still to sew out???Or does it just fit tight in your hoop??hugs
Yes Carolyn it fits inside the hoop just like the inner portion of the frame fits! We can even tighten further with the screw of the hoop! Mostly people use sticky stabilizer with this to stick the cap on it but I simply used tear away! The clipboard attachment can be fixed in either direction....I mean upwards or downwards! The actual design is stitched out in the cutout area which can be made according to the size of hoop you are using! Thank you :)
The clipboard works really well to hold caps. Yours looks grand.
Thank you so much :) you are the reason I gave this a try so thanks a lot for sharing the idea!
you are a star! the cost of the hoop here is well over $300 so compared to a clip board .......well no comparison @ all!
Where there's a will, there's a way! Great job on hoop and cap!
Hi Fatima, are you telling me that you cut up a clipboard? If you did, well done, what a champion for trying something new. I've never sewed on a cap and don't have any intention of trying it! I love what you've done, you're amazing!!!! Love Chris
Yes I did Chris..hahaha :)
Doeant it sound crazy...and that too with that tiny thing!
Buy happy that I gave it a try :)....thank you so much!
Wow - you did a great job cutting this out with your multi-tool Swiss knife. Lovely butterfly and name on the cap as well. Cuties are so creative.
