They are beautiful and messy! Most folk are allergic so hopefully they will not be grooming themselves close by. I collected a few feathers when I had the opportunity to.
What magnificent birds. We saw a whole flock of them when we went to Tasmania a few years ago and there was a white one amongst them, truly awesome looking when their tails are out, but wow what a racket they make! Love Chris
Beautiful birds. Bet that was a nice surprise when you went outside. They are noisy though. Thanks for sharing Sue, Lyn
Nice visitors, did they fly or walk? I often wonder how they manage to fly with such a long tail.
Kims an up market resort about 1km away had peacocks. A male paid us a visit, walked down the side of our house ,didn't he get told off by the dogs.He was looking for a girl friend but he found 3 bitches who weren't interested.
LOL! These walk but did have to flap a bit to get onto the wall. It is over 2m tall.
They fly up to roost at night and down again in the morning or when startled or threatened.
Oh my !!! what delightful visitors in your garden, wish we could have that sort of visitor. Sandra.
Hi spendlove, Oh WOW I just LOVE Peacocks. I have a large collection of Peacocks, from pictures, statues, cosmetics cases etc. Thankyou for sharing. One more to add to my screen saver. He He

Aren't they beautiful!!! Some people a couple of miles from me raise a bunch of them and you must drive slowly through their road as not to run over them. My granddaughters were with me once when I took my short cut to the main road and I told them to lookout for the peacocks as we approached the area and they saw 4 or 5 and were so excited as they had never seen any that up close. They are truly God's beautiful creatures. Kay
Beautiful! One male peacock thinks he's stuff stuff I bet with the 3 females! Had you heard them before? They are noisy things! But their beauty makes up for it.
Sorry, not females. Do like like young males. Reckon the ole one's showing them the ropes?
Love it, beautiful and noisy visitors!
We get the occasional pheasant in winter, only once there were 3 of them together, one of the last times my father was staying here. Have not seen them last winter - too mild to come foraging near the houses and too many foxes around.
Love your visitors! We get the occasional wild turkey, loons, scores of different ducks & geese checking out the neighborhood - but nothing as splendid as peacocks!
I think peacocks are gorgeous birds. We raised male and female sets of three different types/color: Blue/green, white, and beige, from babies. I had so wanted them to be free range birds enjoying our acreage, when they were grown and spread their beautiful feathers. But, they chose to wander a mile or two from home, getting on our neighbors roofs and patios. Choosing not to make our neighbors unhappy with us, we had to make the difficult decision of giving them away. Wish so much they had been content to remain confined to our domain! Beautiful creatures!!
Hugs, Angel
How lovely, I would not mind my dogs barking at those beautiful Peacocks, I just love those birds.
wow, that's beautiful ! and not the birds we see normally. Do they belong to someone in your naberhood or are they wild/
Wow, what a surprise! Thank you for sharing this picture with us.
Hugs, Lidia
I love Peacocks, they are so beautiful. Never see any here except at the zoo./Lillian
They can be quite vocal but oh so beautiful! We use to live about a mile from a farm that raised peacocks here in Oregon, seemed like the call they make, almost a caw but double syllable, was about the only sound they made, but seemed to really carry, we would hear them especially in the evenings, They invited our children to come walk through their farm and it was an awesome visit. They even had a couple of albino males that were, so, very beautiful. Looks like the family was out to explore together as that looks like at least 2 are young males with the father, can not tell if the one looking away is the mother or another young male. I miss those birds and also living under a Canadian goose flight path as we did at that home.Thank you for bringing back such wonderful memories!
They are noisy - all day and all night! These live a few houses away from us but rarely come this way. There are some albino ones in the "flock", but they must have stayed at home.
LOL I guess I am very grateful that we were a mile away so we did not hear all the racket day and night as you live with, from a few houses away, as you are coping with, no thanks as I would never sleep!
How lovely do they make much noise.. Good to see your guard dog is always on duty..lol
Good old Meg. I bet they stayed put when she barked at them.
