Here is the link to the corporate site for BabyLock..they are owned by Tacony Corporation in Fenton, MO. I would contact them at the corporate level and request assistance on finding a part for your machine. When I have a problem and can't get resolve...I go directly to the top...e-mail them, call them...get to the CEO...I've done it and it doesn't hurt to be a squeaky wheel...I tried to add the link below, but got a link error...so you may have to copy and paste...

dragonflyers advice is the one I would be trying first and hope that it works to get you some needed help. I hope you can be as squeaky as you need to be, to get the needed results. Not all dealers are as helpful in finding a solution to a problem, so hope you get the needed help from starting near the top of the chain!
Thanks for everyone's comments. I'm sourcing some parts with my husband right now. Will keep you posted. I sure don't have an extra $10,000 kicking around.
I am adding a second comment. I know that the machines in the local school are over the age of yours and thanks to the efforts of the dealer and his skills at repairs they are still working. In polite UK speak they are 'worn out'. These are Brother machines and the Janome are even older and still in action too. These machines are VERY heavily used all the time by inexperienced pupils, there is no way that you could have used your machine to the limits that these have been put through
I agree that for a computerized machine, you did well getting 15 years of use from it. My newest machine is now 6 years old and I know it will one day be obsolete. I would probably buy a used machine then if I am still stitching. and yes, I admit, I would stay with a Babylock machine. They have served me well.
I might go in a totally different direction. See if you can buy a used Ellageo at the dealership next time Babylock introduces its new models. Then you have parts for the future.
So sorry to hear this. I knew that my designer I was "obsolete and they Husqvarna does not support it any more,I just looked up it original market debut was in 1998 so they only supported it for 15 years. I think cars are 20 years they need to make parts.
I think I would follow the advice of rachap and make some phone calls and see if there is another dealer with the parts that you need. Also I would check ebay out. Fingers crossed for you
Have you read your original warranty very carefully?? Sometimes there are parts covered for 20 years or your sate laws may mandate that repair parts be availale for a certain lenght of time. I's also call a few other dealers or get on the internet and look for that particular part.
I think 15 years is quite a long life span for any embroidery machine.
That's ok if you have another $10,0000 or more dollars spare kicking around! I also remember when I bought my designer 1, Husqvarna used the marketing ploy that it will never be out of date as it was computerised it could be updated and we all know how long that lasted!
Bought my Designer1 in 1998 and it is still going strong. OK, it is a bit outdated as it uses diskettes, but otherwise it's fine.
