Is there a secret to how you do your satin edging? I have many of Sue's designs and when I saw the one you posted around Valentine's Day I knew what to do with some of my designs. I have a Pfaff CV with the 5D software and then things took off!! It's great to work these designs into the 360X350 hoop. Thanks for your inspiration and encouragement!!
There is no secret, just trim the fabric close to the stitching before embroidering the satin edge. Congratulations on your big hoop, that's the one I would love to have.
Thanks for your comment.
Hugs, Lidia
I know how you feel! When I saw this picture in the email she sent me for the special prices, I knew I had to get all that I could. Her designs are so beautiful and always sew out great, love the animals most. Hugs and blessings.
I love the animal as well, they are fabulous. Thanks for your comment, Penny.

Lidia our doily is absolute beautiful love the way you are duplicated and rotated the design. love the threads colors allso. Have a nice weekend. Very cold in South Africa here
Just gorgeous Lidia, as is all of your work. Love the whole presentation and colours. Love Chris
Stunning tablemat Lidia...and you are very creative. Pretty design, bright colours and as always the outline is flawless. Hugs...Shyam.
This is stunning! When you say that you rotate the designs does that mean that you do this in one hooping? How big a hoop did you use?
I only have a 5x7 so I would have to re hoop each time and I wouldn't get the lovely edge that you have.
Love your work!! Hugs, Nadyne
Yes, Nadyne, I have stitched the whole table mat in one hooping and it fitted my 8x8" (20x20cm) hoop.
I'm afraid that your hoop is too small for this tablemat.
Hugs, Lidia
another beautiful design, please tell me what you stitched it on, is this felt and if so what kind? you do so lovely work, xo Doris
lidia please tell me what you stitched it on , unless it;s a big secret, i try everything to get mine looking like yours, (of course i never will but got to try ) ox doris
lol... It isn't a secret, Doris, I have stitched this design onto fabric, cotton canvas to be precise, with a layer of felt at the back.

I've been away for a while and this was a lovely welcome back design for me. I first thought you used a floral fabric and embroidered the pink on that. This is an interesting and lovely embroidery design. Nice choice!
Suz
Welcome back, Suz. I had a similar impression when my software produced this result.
Hugs, Lidia
Fabulous! I love it when you post your mats. They are so interesting to me.
Thank you, Penny. Love making mats because for them I can choose from a wider range of embroidery designs, from floral to kitchen and vegetables, cute animals, you name it.
Hugs, Lidia
You create such beautiful things!!! Everything matches all your china and ironware--You must have a lovely house and decor.
It is lovely. Thanks for the tips. I may give this a try myself today. You inspire me with your beautiful creations. hugs, Susan
Hello Lidia,
Thank you for sharing your new very beautiful tablemat.
Love Embird too, it's easy to use and the base module allows to create beautiful patterns in few minutes .With its many functions , I quickly created new grounds of my coasters.I learn new functions every day.
Ok enough talk,( lol) I go back to work at my hobby.
Have a nice day
Hugs, Céline
Thank you, Céline. Embroidery is my hobby too and love creating layouts in Embird and making this kind of projects with my computerized machine. Have a nice day.
Hugs, Lidia
Awww,Lidia you are such an expertise when it comes to doing these table mats or I really should say at anything you do./Lillian
It looks very sophisticated - nice work on the placement. Don't you love those (auto-)rotate functions (called "encore" in Husqvarna/Pfaff software). It makes amazing patterns from even the simplest designs - and you started out with a beautiful one and the result is spectacular.
I have the Husqvarna/Pfaff software but I usually use the Auto Repeat function in Embird. Love that function and I use it often to create new patterns in a few seconds and many times they are, as you say, spectacular. Love this technology. Thanks for your lovely comment, Martine.
Hugs, Lidia
That's really cute. Great job. Keep up the good work.
Very pretty. You are really good at manipulating the designs and creating new patterns.
Thank you, Smokey. Love creating new patterns. I have changed the order of stitching the colours but not the design itself, otherwise it would have been an infringement of copyright.
Hugs, Lidia
It is a beautiful mat. The design looks totally different in brighter colors and duplicated this way. Very nicely done.
Yes, it looks really different, especially since I have changed the stitching order of the colours of the design: the green was fine in the single design but when I duplicated-rotated it, it covered the reddish floral design in the middle, spoiling the total look. It has been fun to watch the various possibilities and the final new design. Thanks for your comment. Hugs, Lidia
Colour sorting is always a good idea when you multiple a design and fortunately the software shows how it turns out. Great work!
Very pretty, love the colours, matches your coffee mug!
Actually, I have matched the coffee mug with the colours of the mat..... :). Thanks for your comment, Mariagiannina.
