Nicer than any robes you could buy. Beautiful fabrics and made well.
Looking good and on top of it you can say you made them rather then going to the store. Quality is most likely better as well. Well done.
Great job. I clicked on each picture to see the detail. Stunning. Your grands will love. Seven of my grands are coming in a week and staying for 16 days. The final two will be coming for the last week to spend with their cousins.
I think I have that pattern but didn't realize it would fit a 3 yr old. I might have to make one. :)
The sizes range from XXS to Large. Even though the pattern says the Large is for 24 pounds, I figure the large is about a 3 because my granddaughter is in a 2 now and weighs 30 pounds and its a little big on her. I have yet to figure out how these baby clothes pattern makers come up with their sizes. I haven't made any item of clothing yet from any of the large pattern makers that fits like it says it should. That's why I have learned my lesson and always always always make a sample out of muslin or old sheets before I make the real deal.
Wow...Stunning robes!!!Great work done...Love them
These are fantastic! Love the fabrics and colors. Your work is exceptional! I bet their mom wants one now, too - I do!
All of these robes are adorable and so much better than store bought.....
Great! Nice job on these, I'm sure they will love them!
Beautiful!. Keep the machine going. You did a lovely job. Much nicer than store bought.
Grand sewing! Don't let the dust gather any more! You are too talented!!
Thanks for sharing. Love the way you Incorporated the name into the first letter.
Cindy
You have done a bang up job on these! You helped me make up my mind. I was thinking about robes for my Greats for Christmas, had even purchased a pattern,so thats what I'm going to do/Lillian
good for you! I made all three of mine in the largest size on the pattern (about a 3) so that they can wear them for more than one winter. The kids now are both 1 1/2 yrs old.
Wow, love them! You have done a great job, Pamela, congratulations!
Hugs, Lidia
Absolutely just the cutest robes I have seen in a long time! Yes, it is difficult to find robes for toddlers. I am glad that you had to dust off your machine because I look forward to seeing more great projects of yours. By the way, what pattern did you use, or is it your own design?
Nancy I used simplicity 3711. Its sized from XXS to L. L is probably equivalent to a size 3, and XXS is probably a newborn or 6-9 month old. It was a super easy pattern, just tedious because I added the rick rack to 2 of them. Just make sure you buy more lining than your outside fabric and pick a lining that you love. I also used the lining fabric on the pocket and the waist tie. I live in hot Florida so I made these out of lightweight cotton blends, not flannel or fleece or terry. Thank you for the complement!
Thank you so much for posting the pattern. I still have a Simplicity pattern (6255) from 1983 that I used to make many robes long ago. But, it doesn't have a hooded version and, it isn't lined. You robes are so much nicer! I live in Georgia so I appreciate your advice on using lightweight cotton blends too! I know how tedious it is sewing ric rack but it sure was worth it in your case. The robes are beautiful!
What a fabulous job you've done on all of these Pam. They are outstanding. I love the finish on all of them, but particularly the pink one with the border edge. Just so professionally made, you are a wonderful seamstress. Look forward to seeing Arya in her gown. Love Chris
Thank you. I will post a picture of her in it probably later this week or next. The two with rick rack are for her and the fire truck one is Aiden's.
So glad you decided to make the gowns they look fabulous
nice and warm for your winter, great work
Thank you! Actually, they are all very lightweight cottons. I live in sunny (translation: HOT) Florida. But we do have a few colder nights in January and February.
Outstanding! So precious. They are going to love them.Well done.
These are wonderful - you will make some little ones very happy!! Hugs, Laura*
These are stunning. Love the little labels you put on each one. You could sell these as there is obviously a market for this size.
Love your imagination with these.
thank you so much. The labels are Babyville brand. I need to order my own labels, just haven't wanted to part with the big bucks...I guess it's time thought.
Love, Love, Love these--Your pattern then? Wonderful!!
My pattern is Simplicity 3711. I changed it a little, in that I lined the pocket and sewed it on without having to turn it under at the hem and sides. It was a very easy pattern. Thank you for the compliment!
