Great job on the baby nest. Thank you for sharing the links.
Happy Stitching
I had to resurrect this post,as I am mistaken about my comment below and I love these little 'nest'. I looked below too, at a link and made sure I saved it this time, after I translated it.Thanks again Anita
Never have I seen one of these--I will google and see if I can find this and stitch one out for our community baby shower. What an awesome idea and yours looks store bought.
google babynest mönster and click on pictures. You will see many free patterns and tutorials
From the beginning thoose were made to use when babies are sleeping in mums and dads bed. To have their own space
How beautiful and special. You did a wonderful job making this. It looks store bought. You will make a baby fell very sung and comfy.
I used this http://junimamma.blogspot.com.es/... In mine I used polysterbatting in the bottom you can also use foam.
If you google babynest mönster you will find many patterns all for free. Click on pictures
Ganz herzlichen Dank für den Link und die Hinweise.
Ich werde auf jeden Fall so ein Babynest nähen!
Wirklich eine tolle Idee und jede junge Mami sollte so etwas haben.
New to me and I really like it! I enjoy your posts and your work. Thank you for sharing so much and so often.
This a wonderful way to keep a newborn comfy and help them adjust to the outside world. I love it!/Lillian
I've not seen one of these, either. Looks quite comfy. Love the inside embroidery! Nice work.
Cindy
I had not seen one of these either. I love the look and the idea. I think you have started a new trend.
Thoose could be found in Sweden 6 years ago or more. Surprising you havn´t seen them
It looks great and so comfortable, you have done a great job!
Hugs. Lidia
It does look comfortable. Right now any bed would look good to me. I am up, middle of the night, with my husband. He fell in the bathtub tonight and re-hurt his back. In terrible pain, so its no use me going to bed. He is in the living, sitting room right now. It took him forever to walk from the bedroom. I do feel for him because sometimes its my back. No sleep tonight...........
This is so sweet. I have never seen one of these! I'm sure the little 'star' will be very cozy in it.
I am surprised you never have seen a nest. In Sweden "every" baby got them. Most of them homemade. They can use them up to 3 months
Not anything like this. We had a bassinet, which is like a basket, up higher on legs. Did you make the 'nest'? If so, what is on the bottom, for support?
This has not a hard bottom. I have thin polysterbatting 3 layers. They use this "beds" when having the baby beside you in the sofa and they put this nest in the babybed. Babies like them. Sleep better. Think it is because they were used to small room when in mums utero and those are also small
That is so true Anita. At the neonatal intensive care unit of the hospital, they have these little 'beds' that wrap around the baby for comfort, since you can't hold them. I will try to find a photo of Avery or Isabella to show you. You are so good at finding us sites, you need to locate us a pattern for one of these. I'm not expecting anymore grand children but maybe a great grandchild, after grandsons wife finishes college.
I'm remember my cousins who are around 30 having those in the USA but not the ones after them. I think because of sids they stopped recommending them
