Terrific bag! Love everything about it, especially the upcycle of the t-shirt. If this bag was in a store, I would quickly grab it and take it home. Beautifully done Toogie!
Thank you so much, that's how I felt about the tee shirt, I had to go home with it!
a great idea, too nice to put in the bag of dusters. Clever sewing.
Thank you and I thought the same thing. No one was getting this one for a 'rag'!
Toogie , this is way over the top !!! Love it and love your label. i knew you could be Toogie. Kay
Kay, Kim aka. dragonflyer, digitized my name for me some time ago. I started putting them on my bags, when I can remember-lol- Glad you like my country bums!-Toogie
Very clever and so very cute. I love to recycle things too. You can find
so many things to recycle and what you make is one of a kind.
That is so true. Someone asked about me making another one for them and I told them the same thing. Unless they can find this shirt somewhere, its a one of a kind. To tell the truth, I am overwhelmed, at all the positive responses I have had here on Cute and at home. I really appreciate it-Toogie
hello, toogie,
fantastically recycles, three nice counties horses would also be too good for the shredder. a great pocket, a unique specimen :-)) Maria
Thank you, I just thought the blue shirt looked too good, not to use, and it had some white spots that wouldn't come out so couldn't be worn for a shirt. I cut it out for a purse and the white spots weren't in my cut piece.
Very nice bags. Thank you for sharing Happy Stitching
You have made an excellent job of this, it is fantastic.
Hugs pam
Just wonderful Toogie cuties have such wonderful minds to turn this tee into a special piece....soozie
Love it!! You are one amazing & talented lady!!
Hugs, Nadyne
If this isn't the cutest idea and project. I wished my mind worked like yours--I go brain dead when I try to think what something could become. I have a basket full of recycleable clothing that just seems to sit. I see potential for the fabric but no idea's actually come to me, YET!!!
It will come to you, give yourself time. The light blue back of the bag, was the gathered skirt off a dress, that I no longer wore. I cut it off and saved it for a future project, so it came in handy here. I thought it matched one of the horses' hat and boots. My trouble is or my weakness is, I can't throw any clothing out. I usually see the good in it. Thanks for looking.
I love your idea. One person tossed to thrift and you made a Awesome purse ..........Many would love to carry. Me included.
Wow Wow Wow. Love it. I have never seen such a cute design and the fact that you have repurposed it is wonderful. Maybe your friend shouldn't tell everyone at the thrift store about this you may miss out on another gem.
Wow! You have such a creative mind. I bet if the former T shirt owner saw that bag they would be wanting it back. Loved the bandanna idea, too.
Thank you, I never thought about the former owner-lol- they should recognize it.
Highly unlikely. Most people don't see the work of art that was a tShirt, so the wouldn't connect a lovely bag to it.
Oh, Toogie, this is absolutely adorable! Terrific upcycle!
WOW, Love it. The horses, and the bag too. Your choice of color is refreshing. Well done Toogie. Very very nice.
Hugs, Céline
Thank you Celine, I liked the colors too, and thought it this case red check would be better than more blue.
Love your purses!!Great work done and gorgeous design
Sonja, the designs aren't embroidery, naturally, but the horses are still so cute! I had to do something with them-lol-Thanks for your thoughts-Toogie
WOW - you are some clever and creative lady! This is a really cute bag. My horse-loving niece would love this to bits.
Does your niece have horses? We always had them growing up but my daughter has a really pretty one now. Thanks-Toogie
No, this one doesn't - not in their budget. My other niece lives in New Zealand and has a miniature horse, but she's not horse crazy.
Adorable!! Your friend will be so impressed! A+
Wow, Toogie - you are incredible - this is great!!!
lol- you think so? Thank you Laura but I won't see her until next week. The shop is only opened on Wednesdays. I got it day before yesterday, washed it yesterday morning and made it. I was only able to finish it last night though, because I was up with my husband. Thanks for looking-Toogie
This is amazing. I like to look at something and see what it could be too but I would have never seen a t-shirt being a purse. Did you use fusible R-foam to give the knit body? Again, just amazing!
I fused Pellon 809 to all my pieces. I laughed about your not 'seeing', because my friend didn't see it either. I'm anxious to see her reaction. Thanks-Toogie
Wow! What an amazing re-make! Love it!
Thank you- The shirt had something on it, look at the top around the shoulder area, that didn't come off. Thankfully I could cut around it. It was too big for anyone to actually wear, but I just loved the look and saying. So......thanks for looking-Toogi
I love itt toogie, it will be be gone in a twinkling of an eye because it is so nice./Lillian
Yeah, as soon as my cowboy boot wearing, horse lovin' daughter sees it-lol-I see it as me and my 2 sisters, she may see it as her and her two siblings-lol-Thanks-Toogie
You have made a really great bag. I am so envious. Hugs
Why Shirley, just visit your local thrift store for 'slightly used' clothing. The possibilities are endless!-lol-Have a great day and thanks for looking-Toogie
You are simply amazing! I love the bag. The red check fabric looks wonderful. What a silly group of horses wearing boots, lol. Your friend should display a picture of the T-shirt before and after in her shop. I bet it would be an inspiration to many of her customers and probably increase sales revenue! Maybe others would learn to think outside of the box too! I love it! Thank you for sharing.
Yes, it is a great idea! Nancy you want to 'market' my wears?-lol-You'd be a great advertiser and saleslady. I forgot what you really do, it may be advertising! Thanks Toogie
Love your bag. Your pocket made me think of a heart. But your right it is a neckerchief shape. The horse print is a real hoot, Great bag.
Yes, a hoot for sure! No one has said, but I should have made my pleats on the kerchief fold the opposite way. Oh well, it is the back pocket for cell or keys, but I know. Thanks for looking and seeing my 'heart'.-Toogie
Excellent recycle!!! You did a fabulous job on this bag. Your friend will be so surprised to see the end result. Love the horses, too.
I love them too, thanks. I can't wait to show my friend and see her reaction, although I didn't use the blue check shirt....yet-lol- It will have to be another project!-Thanks-Toogie
What a hoot, Toogie! They tell me at the embroidery store that I am an other-thinker because I take baby designs and use them for adults and vice versa. Always take a fresh look!
Wow, love that bag! You have done a great job, Toogie.
Hugs, Lidia
I love it, it is amazing how recycle clothes can be put to use, and you do such a great job, hugs to you for your hard work
Thank you very much for your kind thoughts. Clothes can always be useful for something. Even if it can no long be worn, a tee shirt makes a great 'rag', for a mans workshop. He just wasn't getting this one!-lol
