Just befor my machine got sick, I sewed all these pieces , I did it in felt as I didn't want to ruin the satin material that I actually had for this, the felt one is a trial to see how it goes together, I ended up hand sewing it together as my machine went down after this, I think I will give it another go with the other material, I do like this, don't know what I am going to do with it, but am sure one of my grands will find a use for it as soon as they see it, thanks for looking, I forget where I found it, I was inspired by one that another cutie had made

Yes it is felt, 2 layers of felt.... no stabilizer or stiffener in the middle was needed, the felt is enough to support the whole item. Thanks for your comments

Yours is beautiful ! I had made this years ago, and found that the top can be used as a little coaster and I enlarged it some and it came out fine. Thanks for the felt idea...hugs and blessings.

Yes I thought of a coaster when it stitched out.... the lid would be lovely coasters, I did felt as I wanted to test the design first ( well test me really) the felt isn't an expensive material to use, I have some satin that I want to make this out of so I did felt to try first. many thanks for your comments

Great job...Very pretty, sorry you machine got sick.. The design looks like one I have from 'skeldalehouse'..Do you think the dots are going to be to heavy for your satin?

The Satin I have is a heavy weight material, not a light Satin so I think it will work, I will stitch one piece out and try it before I set it up to do all of them just in case.
Thanks for your commments

I will look forward to seeing your new post, with the satin. Thanks for answering my question

Fabulous stitchout! I never thought to make one in felt. I'd probably put my dog treats in it and get rid of the ugly thing I now use.

I find felt a very useful and inexpensive material to use , especially for testing things out, especially for coasters.
Thanks for looking and commenting

Just beautiful--I too found the design because of a Cutie but can't remember where. Looks great on felt. I haven't stitched anything out in a couple months. Dealing with my mom's death and all the business that goes with that. Soon I will cut loose and get back to it. All projects I look at daily on this site is awesome. I have to get my energy back.

I'm sorry to hear that you lost your mother. It takes time to heal from such a loss.

It looks lovely in the green color scheme. And yes, one of your grandchildren will find a good use for it. Can always use another small container to keep little items from getting lost.

My 16yr old GD wants it for her earrings, but I think they would get jumbled up inside it, so she said well for my rings then,.... I think I will have to make one for her, I have 2 GD`s so I have to make one each, carnt show favouritism. LOL. Thanks for looking
