oops, G. daughter's 35th b'day today. Remembered I had purchased these placemats last fall 2 for a dollar. So appliqued monogram of last name on all 8 for her. She was pleased because they do a lot of entertaining outside in the summer and she said they were perfect.

1. All 8
2 a close up of 1 Tried to pick up the green stripe in the fabric and match with green thread. I managed to get a pic before they went out the door this afternoon. Did all of them in a couple of hrs./Lillian

Lillian these are wonderful & so glad that you remembered in time. Can I ask please are these placemats the ones with the white tubing inside? If so I have some of in yellow & I was wondering about embroidering on them. It is so hard to tell from the photo so I thought I would ask just in case. ~hugs~

Lucky you, to have found these at such a 'steal' and lucky her, for having you 'remember' her in such a way. These look really festive!...sometimes I buy things ahead and forget that I have them, or where I put them, until the occasion has passed, birthdays,christmas,whatever.-lol-

Thanks Toogie. I try to keep everything I buy that will one day be a gift in a specific area, so I can find it. In the past I have purchased as well as made things a long time ahead and then couldn't find 'till 6 months after the occasion LOL. It was daughter's suggestion I keep everything in one place and that was good advice.//lillian

I have a closet in my sewing room that is my gift stash. It has worked wonders as I buy things things on clearance and wait for an occasion. I can go shopping in my closet at any time. Kay

Thank you . While 1 hoop is in machine, I'm getting another ready. I used no stabilizer because placemat is real thick. The font is one of Amazings last ,so stitches out beautifully, hence everything went so smoothly and FAST./Lillian

Well done! You always remember -- even if it is last minute. You are so good!
My son read over my shoulder (as he often does) and said, "WOW!" (he insisted the "wow" be in all capitals) He was very impressed by them being all done in a couple of ho

Great job as placemats are not a piece of cake especially when one does not have a prof multi needle machine and I know you don't,. So glad you chose applique as it really pops. Kay

Thank you Laura. She has a 7 yr old and a 4 yr old. One plays ball and the other in dance. They are always having other young parents over for cookouts. Her hubby is also our youth minister at church as well as a school teacher so they are a busy couple/Lillian
