A couple of drink coasters for a husband and wife. I used foam in the centre covered by fabric and clear plastic over the top before the outside frame was done. This way the embroidery stays clean.

Thank you. The foam makes it sit nice and no problem to embroider.

I think anything personalized is a big hit! I like the font you used for Robyn. Do you know its name?

These are nice. I use clear plastic as well on the coasters & mug rugs so they don't stain, am looking into using iron on vinyl but it's a bit pricey in Oz

Thank you Haven't seen iron on vinyl. Not a real fan of iron on interfacing so probably wouldn't use it anyway.

Well done, I love the idea of putting the plastic on top. Love Chris

Thank you. Bought half a metre of the thinnest clear plastic from Lincraft ( it is very sturdy) and I will get quite a few out of it. Just remember if you do it this way the outline border is the last thing to sew. I had to cut up my design and put it back together in a different order so the backing and the top went last. That way no stitches show at back and front is covered, Worth the couple of extra minutes on the computer to do it.
