If you are making a triangular bunting banner Loralye I'd put the letters about an inch apart. Amy's done some in Delphi's bedroom and they look great, she sewed hers down. Good luck with yours. Love Chris
thank you but I am still not really sure? I have made the heart banner with the name of the new baby Skye letters. I will have to wait with the ribbon because I am not sure how long the ribbon needs to be @ the hall? I have made it for a baby shower that is coming up....maybe I should bring scotch tape so I can tape the ribbon @ the back of the felt so that it will stay in place? I was going to make the whole alphabet so the letters can be changed to say whatever they need them to say? Thank for answering like Sue I was beginning to wonder what to do
some like the banners to have long streamers others short maybe you can use a tape measure or my other idea is use crepe paper then you can write on it with pencil tack it up to demo your idea. best wishes
I'm with Sue on this...decide how long you need the banner to be and then decide on the spacing...
Why does this thread have 21 flowers and only 2 replies?
I would probably begin by deciding what I wanted the finished length to be and then placing the flags until they looked right.
I would say to just eyeball it and what looks pleasing to you to, go with it. Kay
It would depend on how many words. If banner shape is triangle, put letters half way down. Triangles can then be touching on corners. Ribbon depends on how far the span where banner will hang. All the above apply to horizontal banner. Vertical banner would be different.
If it was me I would stitch all triangles to ribbon. Would work with squares and other shapes also.
