How nice to be able to take to the open road. Have always loved doing that, but alas those days are gone. The thing is you keep those memories in your heart and mind and when that day arrives you can still enjoy them by reliving them in your mind../Limeandering.Y. Hope you keep a scrap book or photo album with little written notes of your meandering
THanks, Lillian. Yes, we are creating a stash of memories against the day when I can;t travel or I'm gone or he is gone. DH would stay on the road half the year if we could afford all those hotels. He is an excellent navigator and remembers almost every back road he's been on before, such as where to eat, sleep and get gasoline.
It sounds like a wonderful trip. I'm like you, ready and willing to protect my family. But it is fun to meet folks from all over and to see our beautiful country.
Or some New Englanders I've met say "about" pronounced a boot. I love to hear the different accents and local slang. I do hope you've had a great time and I'm glad you are back.
Wonderful time and spotted two families from Boston by their accent, as I have family there!
