Grieving is a long process, I'm glad that you have re-started with this lovely bag, it is beautifully done and I love it.
Hugs, Lidia
The little purse is sew cute. 'Pickle Pie Designs', a very unusual name for an embroidery site; bet there is a story behind that one. It's alright to miss your little friend. He's living in your heart and would be very sad if you don't do some of your favorite things. It sill just take a little time to get back in the swing of things. Take care hugs and **** 4 U
I know you do your own designs but Advanced Embroidery Designs has the most realistic photo stitch dog breeds I did one for myself-put it on a pillow- after we had to put down our schnauzer and it looks just like him, a wonderful reminder of a wonderful friend. Several oters have asked me to make sometikng with "their" dog on it.they have a sale on right now.
There is no time limit on how long a person grieves the loss of a family member. Don't feel guilty about the time it takes for you to get your energy back. It is hard to recover from such a loss. Your little purse is darlilng! One of these days I want to try to make one.
You must try one Penny. Just follow the instructions word for word. Good luck
This is beautiful. Losing a loved one 2 or 4 legged is very difficult to say the least. My German Shepard was put down 2 years ago. Miss her like crazy. But, I know she is watching over us and helping me with my rescue dog I now have. Just know she is with you in spirit. God Bless.
good job! love the design!
know how you feel to get stitching - I get into a slump every once in a while and it takesa bit to get out.
Very nice, Sarah...so glad you have started stitching again...
Thank you Kim. I was actually dreading starting again but so pleased that I got going. I have been asked to embroider some tea towels for a retirement home, so that will keep me busy.
So sorry that you are struggling and in a little bit of a slump. I can relate. My husband was in a horrific accident on 03 July and is now home recuperating. I have tried so many times to create something. Today is the first day that I have embroidered something that I have all intentions of making into a bag for one of the absolute best doctors I met at the hospital. It's almost finished but yet, here I am again, sitting. I really like your little zippered bag. The turquoise/blue thread looks great on the brown fabric. I hope that you will find each day a little easier to cope with the loss of your sweet little pup. Your post has given me inspiration, thank you.
Sorry about your husbands accident, hope he is getting better everyday. It's a shock to your system as well as his; prayers for both of you.
I am so terribly sorry about your husband's accident. I have also found that one has to keep busy. I wish your husband a speedy recovery
It's very pretty Sarah. Sewing and embroidery are also an escape for me when it arrives sadness or stress in my life.
Hugs, Céline
Cute gift for your friend. Stitching gets me through lots of tough times, so I hope it does for you as well. - Sharon
So glad you are getting back into the swing of things, Sarah, I don't know what I would do if not for this craft......have been pulled through lots of sadness by creating....
It is lovely Sarah. I am glad you found the confidence to get sewing again. It really is lovely.
Well done Sarah, sewing for me is great therapy even if I mess it up it keeps me busy doing something I enjoy so it takes your mind off of your loss for a wee bit. ~hugs & prayers for you during this oh so very sad time~
It is very nice and the waterproof lining is a great addition to a lovely bag.
It's so pretty Sarah and I know how you have been feeling. I pray that this will give you the impetus to get sewing again. Love Chris
It's so pretty! How could your friend not be pleased?
The zip bag is lovely. Your friend will be thrilled to have it. I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. Pets are just like human members of the family and their passing does take a toll on you.
