Thanks. I love everything vintage but these are too much. #9 is quite heavy I'm sure but could be useful during winters in Egypt.
and this was modern looking in that time...and they try to look so proud to wear them....LOL.. thanks for sharing.
pretty funny, but unfortunately I am old enough to recognize some of them! Love the "Tom Selleck" look alike in one [I did think he was so handsome]
Haaaaaay .. I like some of the women's ones ;) I like number 5 (the ripple jacket) and number 11 (the loopy jacket)... me thinks I could make them trendy again lol
I could wear quite a few of the womens ones - perhaps in different colours.
Hilarious. Sadly enough there in the womens section I recognized a couple. Don't you love that crazy double knit material and bell bottom pants for the guys. I remember the knitted bathing suit my mom made that stretched like chewing gum. Ha, ha
Whoever put that lot together does not know their stuff. NO.8 is about polyester knit fabric not yarn.
Double knit is still for sale and still used for making slacks and skirts just not those designs. :-)
Not surprised that the model looks happy - it was all the rage in the 70s and the young men I knew at the time loved it as it was so different to the stuff their father's wore.
NO WAY! You got 2 B kidding....Oh so very old fashioned...
What a laugh Sue. Now shall I check out what was for the women?
Wow, I hate to admit it, but some of them look way too familiar!
Thank you for the laughs! I think soggy... will be good reasons for laughter for some time
Don't laugh too hard, but I have some of those patterns! My MIL gave them to me when she cleaned out her stash years ago. I never got rid of them because I thought they'd be worth hanging on to. I have lots of those for women and children too! I snicker every time I come across one :-)
Hilarious, really, these styles are still being worn where I live. He he
I could not stop laughing. Just imagine my hubby wearing cotton net underwear or the knitted swimming trunk or worse the bathing suit. Though the latter reminded me of the knitted woollen bathing suit my mother made me from an old unravelled sweater from my aunt - wine-coloured and itching. Luckily it shrunk, in sea water, much to my mother's chagrin and my delight.
You made my day!!
Oh my goodness! I can't imagine any era where these would fit in! LOL
LOL! The terrifying "head mask" on a stick both scared me and made me laugh.
What a walk down memory lane. There were a lot I didn't remember. There are patterns you see that you are glad fashions change.
OMG, will giggle all day over this........these are images that are hard to erase from the imagination......can you imagine a knit swimsuit with the belt, can you say "itch"....thanks for sharing, really needed this laugh!
I remember knitted swimsuits. Not only did they itch, they stretched enormously when wet!
to funny, I bet they would be sew embarrassed in this day and age!
