I've never seen a more well dressed tire wheel cover when parked--only rolling down the highway on their spare---You have done an exceptional job on dressing those wheels! Gotta make the hubby's happy some of the time!!!
Wow , well done to you , these look great, and a very smart camper to hoot.
Hugs pam
You really did a terrific job stitching on this vynal. Everything lays so flat. Well done!
Husband's can be so smart (irritatingly so at times for me!) but they sure come in handy. You are going to start a new trend at the campgrounds.
We all need a little boost up sometimes to get us past the "analysis paralysis". Your hubs was just trying to to that! Covers came out perfectly, so worked out well in the end. Nice job.... good to have "pleased" hubs! -Sharon
Awesome, Not sure you needed any help, except perhaps your husbands... and hold your breath.. ;-) .
Way to go Lor. sometimes hubby 's come in handy lol hugs
I've never seen this design but it's perfect for your needs. Husbands are so amazing and wonderful at times. Mine does me the same way. Congrats on the great team work. hugs.
Looks good. The pic with the cover on the tire looks great. You could have each tire with a different season or holiday. Just joking. Glad you tried it and that your hub is happy.
Well done to you & hubby. Look great. Hugs Shirley
Well I'm glad to see your husband and me think the same. I suggested you do that as well, just fold the piece in half and then again so you get a centre point. I've only just come back on and saw your question re my answer about hooping, sorry. I've never sewn with vinyl, but I think I'd use a self adhesive type of stabiliser and not press the hoop down as it might mark the vinyl, so just use a basting stitch to hold the fabric down. Either way, whatever you did it looks wonderful. Well done, love Chris
yes a basting stitch would leave holes so I hooped it & it worked well. thank you Chris & Jerrilyn ~hugs~
I wonder how this embroidery will stand up in the rain and snow later in the season. Maybe spray some scotchgard or water repellant on it
I had to laugh when I read about your hubby finding the solution so quickly. I think it is in the genes of males. Your did a beautiful job on the tire cover and the design is perfect. I am NOT showing this to my husband . hehe
Okay, I agree, but sometimes this male genius thing results in a disastrous failure, about which they will not talk!
Well done.
Don't you just love our hubbies and sons for that matter. We agonise for days trying to think things through the correct way example step 1 through to step 12 and they come up with something so simple and it works.
yes I was really happy for his advice this time lol especially since it worked lol, thank you very much ~hugs~
Love it going to have to make some too!!!!! Great job!!!!
Good job Loralye and hubby. I would think twice about putting your name on the next one...maybe initial. Just thinking of security...
I was thinking that it might be too dense & hubs said he would rather I didn't either? oh well this is a good one & we both like the design. I think I would like a bit bigger next time though.
