Hi cuties, as usual have been logging in and checking out most of the posts silently. Learning and knowing things and taking tips from experiences of all.


I am having trouble with my Bernina Aurora 450 since a year. It loses contact between machine and laptop all of a sudden and hangs/stops in between designs. This happens with any designs ad hoc. Because I ignored it last year for long it started occurring with each design and after just 15 minutes into embroidery. Took it to our dealer who replaced the embroidery module board for India Rs 20,000.

However, the problem still exists. He has no clue why? Has any Bernina user faced this? How can I get in touch with Bernina in Switzerland for support?
Would be grateful if any cutie can guide me.

Perhaps your machine may have to much on its internal memory to be able to get the complete design downloaded. Not sure if this will help, but when I have too many designs on the USB that I use to transfer my designs to my machine, the machine can't read the complete design. If I delete some designs from the USB it will then read it correctly.

There is enough space on hard disk of laptop.

I have a Bernina 440QE which is similar to yours. I haven't had the problem that you are describing, however I have had my computer pause for too long when sending the design to the machine. I have to shut down my computer for a couple of minutes, then send the design and it works fine from there. I'm sure you have probably tried that. Have you also made sure that the cord from computer to machine is not coming loose from either end?

Yes when transferring design it takes few seconds. Sometimes it used to get hanged at that juncture before but not after the board changed.
Laptop too I got fully installed right from operating system level.
Dealer has changed all the cords also. Also I take care that cord is not getting disturbed.

Zinobia I don't have a Bernina so cannot answer your question. There are many here that do have BERNINA's so hope they can help. I'm wondering if the problem couldn't be in your cp instead of the machine though/Lillian
