Had trouble choosing colors for the first one. Did it as directed, but seemed to have little contrast.

Thank you. I always look at the color swatches on the PDF.
Also, there is no law you can't pick your own colors. The PDF are just suggestions. No color chart is exactly the same just like no thread company is the same.

Nice choice of thread colors for this design. I really like how the cactus needles poke out! This is a fabulous stitchout!
