Well I found a little more fluff in the upper tension and removed what I could and it sewed out the letter A with out any trouble then using the same thread tried a built in design sewed that out OK I thought I had sorted my problem out tried another with same thread and gone back to thread breaking the broken thread looks shredded think I'm going to have to take it to be looked at as I don't know what else to try I have looked at the common things to look at and even bought a new rotary hook surely if it was timing it wouldn't have stitched the A out? getting really frustrated been trying to sort it out on and off nearly a week I don't like giving up might see if I can by a tin of air spray Monday as a last resort I'm running out what to try

I have always used unwaxed dental floss. I run it through 6 or 8 times to be sure I have gotten every bit of shredded thread bits. Never ever use canned air as Sandy says. It can make the problem worse. You can use a tiny attachment for your vacuum cleaner to try to gently suck out any bits you can't reach. Don't be afraid to bring it in to your tech. They can reach areas we can't. BTW, you can buy those little attachment kits at most dealers. I sure hope you can get this fixed son so you can stitch again.

Air spray (canned air) is not recommended for bobbin area as it blows junk up into machine. Try running a folded piece if fabric fold down thru upper part of your tension, muslin is good and I use it.

Or unwaxed dental floss. I am sure you changed the needle. When ever thread shreds in my machine it is the needle.
