I hope when you have your camera back, you have a chance to post a picture of where on your machine, you found this piece of plastic. I am so interested. I have had my machine in so many time and in a short time, I end up with shredded thread. Thanks bunches! Laura*
Thanks for posting and letting us know what the problem was. You are very courageous to fiddle with your machine. I'm always nervous when I start fooling around with mine.
Hope your shoulder gets better soon!
I likewise had a similar problem with thread notching a grove on a plastic part. I used repeated layers of nail polish and filled in the notch and solved the problem. Occasionally have to retouch it but all works well. So glad to hear that it's solved
So glad you finally figured it out...just sorry you had to take our machine to be "fixed" and then bought a rotary hook...hoping you can send that part back...
Found a slight groove in the rotary hook first and thought that was the problem think that was caused by the real problem which I found later but would have needed a new rotary hook any way
Thank you will keep this in mind should it happen to me. Hugs Maureen
Wow, this is so interesting - I have thread shredding quite often. I wish you had a picture as to where this small lip of plastic is within your machine I know the pain of a frozen shoulder - it is very difficult! I am so happy you were able to fix your machine! Hugs, Laura*
Hi Laura my husband borrowed my camera yesterday to take to a car meet but as soon as the batteries are recharged I will take a couple of photos and load up
Hope your frozen shoulder gets better soon. Both of mine have been frozen & it is amazing how it effects your whole way of life,I could not hoop my embroidery let alone do my hair & many other daily things.
I have had it in both quiet a few years ago and had an injection in both I ought to go back to the doctors as when I had it before it got so bad I couldn't move my arm at all and wasn't getting much sleep and was passing out with the pain at the moment some days are worse than others I keep remembering the size of the needle and how long the injection took may be it is better now that was about 25 years ago surprising how many people you hear that have suffered from it hope yours is OK now
Well done on finding the cause and thanks too for sharing your knowledge so willingly :)
Your welcome it's so frustrating trying to find out what is wrong took me nearly a week I am hoping it is OK now am going to do a little more embroidery later today must do a little house work first though
i think you mentioned that you had just had your machine serviced.. I would call my dealer and ask to speak to the service dept and run it by them just what has happened. See what they have to say. Kay
Think it might have been my fault threading it as I have trouble lifting my arm up some times due to a frozen shoulder should really go to the doctor and get an injection
Great detective work. Thanks for sharing as it may happen to us sometime.
