hi Caren, you have been busy I see. Well I only make jam or marmelade of the fruits. But I'm glad to see you here again !!
Jelly or wine here.. But, you did a lot of work and you will enjoy those raisins too.
I hope it all turns out well as I am clue less. I did make some great grape jelly some time back. Kay
Hi Karen, great work. When I started reading this post I thought you were going to say that you put the grapes in a tub and had been stomping on them to make WINE (joke). LOL, hope you enjoy your raisins. Hugs Marg
I just did banana wedges. Did you know that if you poke your finder down the center of a banana it will split into wedges? I can't find my dehydrator (not that have looked) after the flood, so I did the overnight oven method. They are edible. Yeah!
What is the overnight method, do you put them in the oven. If you do what temperature do you set the oven at.
Hey, that was a job girl! I have a few grands, and myself, can help you eat'em up!-lol
I have done dried apricots, dried peaches, dried apple slices...and I do turkey jerky which we love! I have a spicy soy marinade for the turkey which is sliced very thinly (turkey breast)...then dried...so yummy!
Yum! .I love raisins and they are healthy snacks. I have never dried anything except the old fashion way in the sun covered by cheese cloth or screening. I have a daughter that has a dehydrater and she does a lot of jerky but she has also done fruits and made her own trail mix but I do not know anything about how she does it./Lillian
wow , too much trouble . I do remember as a child that my neighbor did this. She had big frames that looked liked quilting frames.
Wow Karen. That was a lot of work. I have dried fruits, bu twas not happy with some of the results. I prefer canning or freezing. I can not share any tips. I do love frozen grapes. It's like putting tiny Popsicle in your mouth.
