As I live outside of Perth I have to stay near the hospital at the Cancer treatment Lodge. I asked if I could take my Embroidery Machine with me & was told that they have a sewing room with machines in it & I was welcome to use them. I explained about my machine & the male caretaker told me kindly that machines do not work that way, I said mine did & was told to bring it as he would love to see it working. He has a surprise in store for him. His last word was that machines have to be stoped & material turned & shifted so don't forget to bring my magic machine. I WILL
Dear Wendy, prayers are being said for your upcoming treatment and I also pray that your pain will decrease once you start it. I like the ideas of the people below who have mentioned how to get out of bed in this instance. Love Chris
Thankyou. Yes it seems that 02kar gets out of bed the same way I do then I slowly stand up straight & stretch. )I have been doing this since I have have 2 hip replacements) I have plenty of room in my bed & don't worry about rolling off, the nurses do when I want to roll onto my side on the very narrow table.
Prayers being sent to heaven; in exchange may HE bless you with healing Love all around.
Oh Wendy I wish the getting up was not so painful for you. You let them know they must help you. Please know you continue to be in my prayers/Lillian
Thankyou. The Nurses do help but insist that I sit straight up from laying on my back, I need to roll onto my left side with legs over the side of the table & using my hands walking till I'm sitting upright. They are afraid that I will roll off the very narrow table.
Wendy....my thoughts and prayers are with you...
Keep practicing getting up and we'll keep praying for solutions to your pains. Good-bye, bad cells!
Oh, Wendy, God's best blessing and healing hand on you.
This must be so difficult. I pray that radiation is not affecting you much, but shrinks that cancer. Prayers are with you..
Wendy you are in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs, Mary
I'm so very sorry you are having such awful pain and having to go through radiation too. Don't be afraid to ask for help when laying down or getting up from the CT machine. I can't sit up like a normal person when laying down. I have to turn to my side, let my feet dangle and push my upper body up off the bed into a sitting position. I hope this makes sense. I can't promise it will help you, but try it. You have my prayers. Please keep us updated.
Thankyou. That is how I get out of my bed at home, plenty of room to roll onto side. The nurses help as thy want me to sit straight up. they do not want me rolling off the table. I'm practising at home to turn onto my side in the same spot as the table is so skinny.
