I love it. I think that the fill pattern for the tulip petals could be more directional. Love the border!
Simply stunning. I am always amazed at the work you do and your creativity. Glad you are enjoying your classes. Looking forward to seeing more of your wonderful creations! ~Charlotte
You've done a wonderful job, great piece of art and digitizing! Hugs, Yoriko
This is quite lovely and I hope you get an excellent grade for your effort. This will look lovely on whatever you add to it as a great design for this fall season. Wonderful job and thanks for sharing your talent and experiments.
Beautiful job on the digitizing. Do you have more of the two fabrics? This would be awesome stitched out at each end of a table runner
Thanks, and yes, I do have more fabric...I was thinking perhaps place mats & a table runner...I am working on two other "companion designs" to go with these also...
Wow, love that coaster/mug rug, it looks great!
Hugs, Lidia
I think you did a really good job. I Love Jacobean stuff.
I think your instructor will be impressed! looks great!
Wow! this is just beautiful. You have done a first class job with this embroidery,i personally think you should be the teacher. Very impressive work. Sandra.
Quite elegant, almost to pretty to use. You should add a cord and hang it up.
Gorgeous Kim! Gold Star for you. You must be the star pupil in the class !
Thank you so much, Maria...not really a star pupil...still lots to learn...but I am enjoying the journey!
Dear Kim, you must be a star pupil as this is just wonderful. Love everything about it, love Chris
This is Awesome! love the way the metallic looks on the outer fabric. Well done!!!
Thank you...you did take a close look...and I do love the metallic on the rust colored fabric...
It's beautiful and elegant too! Your choice of colors with the fabric is perfect! Where are you taking a class? How could we purchase this design?
OH, and did you slow your machine down to use the metalic thread, or do you have any suggestions for using the metallic thread? I never have much luck stitching very long with it. Thanks
Thanks for you kind comments...the classes are wonderful...a live webinar twice a month...and then I get a class download for each class I can watch anytime...the teacher is fantastic...Trevor Conquergood from Sunset Stitches...two web classes each month about 2 hours each...very reasonable cost, too...
For metallic thread, use a top stitch needle...it has a larger eye to allow the metallic thread to move smoother though the eye more easily...also reduce the top tension on your machine to 1 or 2...and make sure you use a thread stand so the metallic thread has a chance to unwind before it hits the machine...some also use a packing P-nut and thread the metallic thread so it runs through the P-nut, but I have not done this...I sometimes have to slow down the machine but this I ran at 1000 stitches per minute...the quality of the metallic thread also is key...I love Madeira the most...but this was Superior...good too...but the Madeira runs a bit better with my Ellisimo. Here is a link to Trevor's site for his webinars....

This is absolutely lovely - well done! How lucky you are to be taking a digitizing class. Your teacher will be impressed!! Hugs to you! Laura*
Thank you, Laura...I love taking the classes...they are in a live webinar format and then I get a class download I can watch anytime...really cool...
I think it turned out extremely well! If your teacher doesn't think so, then you need to be the teacher and show the others how-to.
Gorgeous, Kim........is that some rippling I see in there...love the metallic...
Thanks, Vicki...and yes...there is some rippling...really interesting to do.
It is beautiful and the brocade you have framed it with really sets it off. Did you pad the frame? /Lillian
