What a great idea! Well done, and I love your design (avatar)!!!
This made me laugh! I'm amazed that the tearaway has stayed intact after so many years.
This hold my machine in place also, but no embroidery on mine. Love yours, 'Sew Clever'. lol hugs
Wow, love it! You have done a great job, Loralye. Have you put a plastic sheet on top, just before the stitch-out?
Hugs, Lidia
I have nothing on top of it, only have remaining tearaway underneath to show white for her skin tone. Thank you Lidia very much, ~hugs **!~
This has stitched out very well on this no slip stuff. Well done. Great idea. Hugs
Great job. Just goes to show you can embroider on almost anything. I have a few of her designs and they do sew out well. I was so pleased when she finally gave permission to allow buyers to use the designs on gifts.
me too her designs are so much fun & I love the beach bottom girls lol I have quite a few of her designs ..............mmm sounds like an addiction problem to me lol ~hugs~
Thank you Loralye, everytime i see your photo i have a smile on my face. Just love to look at your many varied projects they are all so good. And now to see a large photo and know the reason behind it is great i really did not think you looked like that at all. Like Toogie says i think all our imaginations run wild when we think about people in this cuties group. You did a wonderful job with this placemat, thank you again for sharing this with me. I have found some grip mat that looks a little bit like lace quit fine, will try this in the next few weeks and put up a photo when finished. Sandra.
I am glad that you posted Sandra you gave me the opportunity to show mine again. If you use the finer grip mat then be sure to use a not so dense design as the holes are sometimes to fine or too far apart to hold the stitches well. I look forward to seeing more of what you create. They are always terrific!~hugs~
Loralye, you know I am laughing, this time at myself, but first I want to say your embroidery and project is GREAT. The reason I'm laughing, when I first looked at it I thought, where did she find a design of herself? and just as quick I thought, that's not really HER!-lol- I need to know what you really look like, because I am thinking you look like this! Not that its a bad thing, look at that waist!
before my surgery I looked pretty close to this so that's why I chose this particular design & now unfortunately I do not lol but I do have my hair back & for that I am eternally grateful lol
I loved the red Sally Jessie Raphael Glasses too my fav's @ the time lol of course I had the waist in my younger days & those are long gone lololololo
It looks as fresh as you! I always make up mental pictures of what you gals look like! Great job on this one Loralye, love Chris
it just so happens that I won a free gift for submitting this idea way back in 2011. I searched the tips files over @ DBS & found my submission for my mat as shown here lol Just goes to show how well this is holding up almost 5 years ago ( made it in Sept of 2010)
I'm glad you showed this to us. It's perfect to mark your spot.
Nice, Loralye...I had no idea that your Avatar was actually stitched on shelf lining...I love it...and need to give this a try!
really cute. I've never seen these before today. I haven't tried emb. on them, but just might do it... Thanks for sharing. Great job.
That is so original. I'm a big fan of Loralie Designs too. Did you use a Cutaway ? or Tearaway ? I'd love to make one of these for a friend :-) Dee
I used tearaway on the back & wss on the front & it was very easy to do, give it a try you will be happy that you did. ~hugs~
