does anyone use or has already experience with Venus embroidery threads?

Never heard of them! Are they machine embroidery threads?

This the threads like the DMC for cross stitch and hand embroider? Wasn't very popular here in SA so the shop that stocked it discounted it. As far as I know it is six strand cotton but doesn't have the sheen of DMC.
