I like the peek-a-boo red in the white stitching. :-)
This is really cute. I think it did a wonderful job. I didn't see what you were talking about when you said the red was showing and you wished you had put the zipper up some..... Great job. I'm sure the ladies will Love it.
Thanks Mechille, if you look at the lower edge of the zip you can see more of the red spotted fabric between each zig zag. I just needed to lift the fabric about an 16th of an inch higher! Love Chris
Hi Chris, These purses will be a hit at your Ladies Christmas Luncheon, a very festive colour and I love the Embroidered Rick rack.
Love Lorraine xxx
Thanks so much Lorraine, I do hope my friends will love them as much as I do! Love Chris
Great purse Chris. Did you use pre-quilted fabric or is the red stitching a part of the design?
Hi Vicki, the quilting is part of the purse design. You do the back first and then do the front separate. When the two are finished you place the top onto the back (making sure you undo the zip halfway) right side facing and then it sews around the edge. Once it is all done, you turn it inside out and voila it is done. Love Chris
Very nice. I have yet to give these a go also. Hugs Shirley
Very nice/ I have had good results with their designs, too. They have some nice freebies and several really cute baby designs. I think they are the originators of rick rack on the embroidery machine, my favorite trim so I loved this. Your " Ladies" will love them, no matter the size, very useful.
Hi, I'm guessing your first name is Rachel, I hope it is! Thanks for your lovely reply. Love Chris
Love it Chris, Found some fabric like that when I was straightening up all my stashes this morning. Forgot I had it. Also found some white eyelet. One of these days I'm going to get some zipped little bags done/Lillian
Oh , this is perfect. I have not ventured into the zipper design yet--have a freebie to trial and is in my 'TO DO LIST' That list is growing long I am afraid! I do love the choice of fabric and the stitching along the zipper area.
Thanks Pea, I don't know your name sorry. Isn't it just gorgeous, that Zig-Zag embroidery is Zippy's original design. It looks so pretty in person? You should have a try, it's easy. Love Chris
Love it!!! I have made her dusties cheaper than buying them

Thanks so much Kathy, I haven't tried her dusties. I hope they turn out as nice as these little purses. Love Chris
You did a very good job on this. I haven't seen this design before, like the zigzag trim. I love ITH projects
Sorry, queen, I don't know your name either. Thanks for commenting, yes, the zigzag embroidery trim is fabulous. I too likeITH projects. Love Chris
I have made her tissue holder for my purse and it's so nice. Zips up and the tissues stay clean and unmangled.. Your pouch is really pretty. The ZZ makes it look lacy on the edge of the zipper.
Thanks sewhobby, I'm sorry I don't know your name either. Yes, the zig-zag makes it look lacy and it's a great addition to any item. Love Chris
I love how this came together..........it even makes me want to try a dastardly zipper project........
Oh! come on Vicki, you do such fabulous work, you should be able to do this standing on your head, as long as there are not too many kitty cats around! he he he! Love Chris
That is just too cute! I really like the zig-zag.
Looks great and will be very useful. I still have not found the courage to do that.
Come on Angie, it is really easy. Carolyn (Zippy DesignZ owner) has given full colour instructions and you just follow the pictures step by step. You would be able to do it. Thanks for commenting, love Chris
I love the zigzag on this cute purse. Great job on this
Your purse is beautiful, love your choice of fabrics too.
Hugs Bärbel
Wonderful job Chris. ITH projects are one of my favorite things to do. There are so many wonderful ITH projects out there. I'm addicted to them! Love the fabric that you chose. ~Charlotte
Thank you Charlotte, yes, there are some wonderful projects available these days. Love Chris
Nice job, Chris...they are fun to make!
Thanks Kim, yes, I just love watching these take shape. I had to put my tension to 2.6 (my Husqvarna is permanently on 2.8) as the quilting stitches were looping. Carolyn (Zippy owner) says in her instructions that you might find this happening and to lower the tension and or use a 90/14 needle. I'll keep trying, love Chris
For a first try, it looks great. Love the red and white. Hugs Lynn
Thanks Lynn, I think this would make a great makeup purse. I mean I could keep my lipstick and my powder compact in there. I'm sure I will think of other things to use it for too. Love Chris
P.S. these fabrics actually match the red and white bag I made earlier this year!
