Hi Cuties, I made some knitted Bunnies a few years ago for my Mother-in-law. (Mum).

She saw an article in a magazine and suggested these would be nice to make.
You see at the time both my MIL & FIL were living with us, as they both knew that I did a lot of Knitting and that I was running out of draw space to put all of my jumpers, cardigans and pullovers into.
So after I made a couple of slight modifications, I set to making my first Bunny.
The funny thing is when I finished my first one and showed Mum, (she loved it that much that I gave it to her as a gift), the next thing I heard was Dad saying "WHERES MINE", so off I went and made Dad one.
Dad always loved it when I made him clothes and gave him teddies when he was not feeling the best.
He had that Bunny right up until he passed last December, at the ripe old age of 97.
Mum now looks after both Bunnies, pride of place at the end of her bed, along with the embroidered lap quilt that I made her.
So from small beginnings has grown a storage bucket load of Bunnies in a Bags.
I think at last count I have knitted up around 50 Bunnies, 40 of them waiting to be sewn, stuffed and put together.

Photo 1. Are two Male Bunnies with there Trucks, resting on there Felt Hanging Bags.
Photo 2. The two Bunnies have now hopped into the bags. hehe
Photo 3. Is a selection of Felt Bags that I have made for the Bunnies. These bags only have one handle, so you can have then on the doorknob.

Thankyou for looking

Your Bunnies are adorable and wow you are so productive with them. Do you give them away as gifts? Love the story about your MIL and FIL. I am so glad your rabbits made them content

Hi crafter2243, Thankyou so much, I try and make a bunny in a couple of nights, then pack away the pieces to be put together at a later time. The bunnies that I have made so far I have given as gifts.
The bulk of what I have made I have put into storage

Hi srise, Thankyou, Mum and Dad lived with us for 6 1/2 years before they went into aged care, we looked after Dad until he was 94. We would have had them until they both passed away, but it was becoming increasingly hard for both of us, my Husband Keith suffers from M.S. and I have a severe lower back injury.

Cute bunnies, and live the felt bags - they are quite useful little items.

Hi laffma1, Thankyou, yes I thought that the felt bag would be a good idea for the children, they can put it on a door knob or a wardrobe handle, over a back of a dinner chair.

Hi cfidl, Thankyou so much, when I read your comment my throat went tight and I too started to well up with tears. I just get a big smile on my face when I have completed a bunny and my Husband Keith always has a chuckle when I show him one.

See, Lorraine, I told you to post all the things you make and do. You are so very gifted and talented. Great job on them all. Love the Bunny rabbits - especially the Black and White one, reminds me of Collingwood Football colours. Love Chris
