It looks just great, the colours are lovely too,
Hugs pam
You see...practice and persistence does make perfect!! Well done...just reminding you I love the jewel tone fabrics...
I just love the colors of this one--I'm glad you got your problem figured out. I really do like these. I am going to have to try a zipper.
Thanks, I'm glad I've given you the incentive to try something like this. Have a go! Love Chris
Chris I love all these bags you are doing. I think I will have to purchase this design also. the colours are stunning...great design huh?
hugs Kerry
Hi Kerry, thanks for your comments. Yes, the design is great. All the purses match their bags I made earlier this year. Love Chris
Hi Chris, I am so glad you were able to fix up you looping problem. Did you reset your tension back to what you normally use, or leave it at the 2.0. And what a happy colour too. Love it.
Love Lorraine
Hi Lorraine, I put the tension back to 2.8. I just don't think my machine likes sewing in the bigger hoop. I had absolutely no issues when I made the smaller bag (red and white spotty one!) Love Chris
Very , very nice Chris. Good for you, keeping at it `till you were satisfied. /Lillian
Oh they are getting better and better. Great job!!!! Love that ric rac too!
YIPPEE!!!
Wow Chris you are doing such a great job on these ITH bags! :)
I am so glad you resolved the looping issue as well and didnt give up....hats off! :)
Glad you won. It is very cute. I tired 3 times to get the cute bag pattern and gave up. It is just not meant for me.
Determination paid off. Glad you conquered the puzzle. Thanks for telling us what worked.
WOWWWWWWWWWWWW
It is beautiful!!!!!!
I have not made bags but I know what you mean about glue sprays and needles---my 5x7 Brother does not like size 14 needles for some reason--my Brother SE400 doesn't care---I always thought 14 was for thicker and heavier fabric and dense designs---but I guess I was wrong---so I have a bunch of 14 needles----guess they will go in the DEAD NEEDLE JAR!!!! Thank you for brightening my day. God bless you.
Thanks so much. Yes, I agree with you - as it is going through 3 layers on the back the 14 should have worked, but machines can be fussy too! Love Chris
well done Chris & I am happy that you were able to get it done to your liking. I'm sure which ever Luncheon Lady receives this will be just as happy with it! ~hugs~
Yeah! (I couldn't see the loopies, but I know that sometimes those small things that bug us don't show up in photos.). This is my favorite of all of your bags. I love the green fabrics with the striking red zip and quilting. Very nice details. --Sharon
Zippy do Dah Zippy A ........ my oh my ........ this is a wonderful day as the song goes. I am happy you got figured. When you mentioned no glue I remembered you saying you avoid that sticky spray stuff once before. I have made my self a note about the needle to watch for.
Yes, it's not a good thing, it gets on the hoop even though I don't spray in the hoop - lesson learned! Love Chris
Yeah. No more loops. Amazing to think that changing the needle size was the solution. Great little bag. Love the zig zag effect. Good job.
I love this one, as I am partial to green anyway. Glad you were able to work out the problem.Hugs Lynn
The bag looks great. Thanks for posting the answer to the problem.
Glad to hear you have resolved the stitching issues. This is a lovely bag.
Congratulations, Chris! Now it's perfect and I'm happy for you!
Hugs, Lidia
Thanks Lidia, I'm so glad I persisted. I am getting really quick at doing them now too. I don't tape down I just use pins in each corner (flat headed ones) and it saves me having to use spray glue and also adhesive tape. Love Chris
I prefer pins to spray glue too. Glue always seems to gum up my needle. Teresa
Glad to hear you fixed the problem. Looks good now Chris.
Hugs Bärbel
Thanks Bärbel, I was determined to get at least one bag right, he he he! Love Chris
I love it! who would have known the other needle would have caused such problems. I thought it would be needed for thicker fabrics and things like this as well. So was the spray glue causing issues? Have you ever tried regular glue sticks? They seem to work well for me. How about the wonder tape?
Brenda <><
I really felt it was the needle Brenda, and no I've not tried any other glue. I have some quilting tape that I'm now using. Love Chris
