Hi April....good to hear from you and that you are going to have the sewing room of your dreams!! Wish I live in Montana, I would love to help out and am sure you could teach me a thing or two as well.....
Vicki
Congratulations April & welcome back, I look forward to seeing your beautiful creations. ~hugs~
wow, this is a wonderful group of ladies from all over the world. I do know one person in Montana and there are a couple digitizer's up there also. I am sure all your questions can be answered right here. Have a great time setting up your new world! It is more fun to share it with someone who is as excited about this craft. So consider us your neighbor, grab a camera and share your experience with us.
Thank you so much Cuties. I have come here many times before and have found answers to the same questions others have asked. This is an amazing collection of wonderful imaginations and problem solvers! I have many questions that I will ask once everything is finally set up. One of which is how to use my "newly" acquired embroidery machine (that went into storage!). I bought the bottom end Brother (that is awesome) a few years ago and never thought I would step up to a bigger more complicated machine so soon! There are so many blessings with it too, the biggest of which both embroidery machines use the same type of files. YAY!!!
Welcome April fro Carolyn in Canada .You will love your new sewing room .I am happy for you hugs
I'm so happy for you in getting that special sewing place. The people(Cuties) on this site are wonderful. They answer your questions and encourage you on each new venture(sewing quest).
Welcome, to you or welcome back or both! Your excitement is jumping right through the computer! Very thrilled for you as everyone deserves a nice space to dream, drool, work and create. Enjoy and please show your creations, as I'm sure they are beautiful. I love looking!
Glad to here about you new sewing room... I'm sure it will be a big help.... I'm sure anyone here would be happy to help in any way they can, no matter where they live. Good luck and let us know is we can help in any way. Congrad's again.
April, So glad you are back with us. I'm quite a bit south of you in Colorado. But I've seen Montana and it is beautiful! You can get your sewing room all ready for your machines and good stuff to fill it. Have fun and know the Cuties are close by on our computers <3
And Flowers to all you other Cuties who responded! Don't you just love making gardens grow?!?!?!
We are all here for you April. I have virtually learnt all I know from this site. The Cuties are a great knowledgeable group. Hope to see more of you.
We will all take you 'under our wings' here on Cute! Sorry that I'm too far away, to get with you in person, and I realize that is what you meant. I do hope there is someone close to you though...You perked my interest when you said (i.e. my sewing and embroidery machines). What kind and how many do you have? No one can have just one!-lol-Something my husband has come to realize-lol-I am also happy to see you posting. The first thing you need to do is show us what you have made, while you are waiting for the machines to come in. We'd love to see anything you've done. May God bless you in your new home and 'Welcome to participating on Cute'!-Toogie
Oh Toogie, the stories on my machines! I have carried my Brother 300 with me while we have been moving around so I have a few things recently created, mostly dresses for my two youngest girls. I have a BabyLock Esante 2 (if I remember correctly) that I received in exchange for a swingset two weeks before it went into storage over a year ago. I have no idea how to use it! I also ended up with a hand-me-down 1952 (again if I recall correctly) full metal Kenmore around the same time. It is going to be like Christmas in a few weeks! I can post a couple pics in the next day or so of a couple projects. :-)
I am so glad for you getting the new house with a LARGE sewing room.Have fun getting it all set up. Never be afraid to ask because you can get all kinds of advice from Cuties.
Happy Stitching.
Whoohoo and congrats! I can't help you in person but I am pleased as punch to have you finally share a post with us. Keep on talking, we love to share. Don't hesitate to ask any and all questions. We have all been Newbies at one time and we are all still learning to be better embroiderers.
Excited for you in your new house and new sewing room You'll be shocked how fast you can fill it! As for finding a sewing buddy, don't forget that you can read all our old posts and problems here, by Google searching (Learn how in Q&A), but also by clicking on a person's posts and going back through their posts. I would especially recommend mops in this regard, as she occasionally gives us a master lesson. There's lots of how to hoop info here and how to deal with metallic thread and much other good advice. I had been embroidering about 6 days a week for 4 years when I found this site and pretty much thought I had it all figured out, but I have learned so much fine detail and high level skill here from reading other Cuties' problems and the responses. Google sewing room setup as many Cuties have included photos of their excellent storage solutions in their "studios" - me, I just have a sewing corner.
I completely understand the small sewing area. The only sewing room I had up to this point was a 5ftx5ft room with a 9ft ceiling and no door. That was some creative storage arrangements! The past year though has been the wobbly table in the RV we have been traveling in. Talk about an addiction!
Finally spoke up did you April. Very glad for you!! Others have said "look for a dealer" hope you have one near enough to be of help to you. In the meantime you still have Cuties who are always around. Congratulations on your new home /Lillian
I'm so happy for you! You will feel like a queen in her castle. I hope you can find a local machine shop that gives classes and help and of course WE are always here. Cuties are the best and will help you in anyway they can. Glad you peeked out, April!
Hugs, Jerrilyn
The closest "city" as such in Montana is almost an hour away. There is a small community not far from the house and I am sure there have to be quilt makers or something in the area. Contacting the closest dealer/shop is definitely my best option.
There will likely be a sewing machine dealer in your area that would likely have local people in their classes or they may know of a person that may be willing to take you under their wing. The local quilt guilds are another place to meet like minded people in your own area, but I also want to just encourage you to post your questions here, as there are MANY, very skilled members from around the world, who will often take the time to explain things, even more than once or twice and to even post pictures when there is difficulty in understanding what they have explained. I am so happy you are getting your dreamed of sewing space, and hope you have many hours of dreaming up just how you will set up the space to suit your needs and then I am also hoping you will share all your wonderful creations as lolly3 has been treating us by sharing her creations with us. We LOVE seeing everyone's creations. Welcome to the Cute Community! Pam
Hi snoukems, I feel your excitement, I too have always just looked in and made the occasional comment.
But now I am on a roll, thanks to the kind hearted Cuties that encourage me to post my goodies here.
I do hope you find a sewing partner to help you on your new sewing adventure in your nice new sewing room.
Kind Regards Lorraine

I have been really enjoying seeing the wide variety of items you create! Thank You so much for sharing them with us. Pam
