A very dear friend of ours has just been diagnosed with Chrohn's Disease. I wanted to do something that would let her know that I care & want to do something to make her feel better so I made a beefy beet soup for her & canned 6 jars. Beets are very high in Iron & she is on supplements 150 mg. That is quite high & adding fresh beets to the soup will give her some much needed iron & it taste yummy too. I hope that she likes it hubs loved it & wants me to make some for him too. I think the beets make it a beautiful colour too

You are a wonderful friend to do this for her. It is a very pretty picture and will help her out a lot too. Chrohn's is a terrible disease. I'm glad she has your support.

Anything you can do to show your love and support should be well received. Chrohn's is devastating, not in the beginning, but in the long-term realities.
