I have some more I can do, but I have only sold a few of the disabled designs, and just thought people weren't interested.......I really need to know what people would like to see and proceed from there........
That's something the majority of the population just never thinks about because it isn't something they see or deal with on a daily basis. Those of us who do will always take that into consideration. Thank you for placing the reminder here.
if you live with or have a relative with special needs it becomes second nature so as a person who does just that I would like to say thanks Karen for helping remind others. ~hugs~
I just saw a program on fb. I can't remember the name, however I may see it again and come back with the information.
I agree, special needs children do require more consideration when making items for them. Aging adults and those with disabilities also require special consideration, as well. I know so many who can no longer manage buttons or zips due to having a stroke, arthritis or neuropathies, etc. I know I need to remember to purchase appropriate beads/links when making zippered items, to add to the zips so they have something more substantial to hold onto. Always seem to forget those and need to run back out to the shops.
I so agree, I used to work in a Center for special needs children and was always trying to make things that would help them in their daily lives. I do try to think of child developement when I make items for them. I do have other projects in my overstocked head that I would like to make and donate to the center where I used to work. Someday I will get around to it as it is so important to help this special kids.
thanks for bringing it up
hugs
